GOD! So I'm on the bus today and the entire bus ride this lady driving the bus is explaining why middle schoolers are trash. they've always been trash and they'll always be trash. she keeps explaining this...and then starts getting pissed at people for making the bus stop because she is trying to not have to pick up the middleschoolers.

well she gets to the stop by the school and there are the kids. she refuses to let them on. when the kids are pressed up against the window asking "WHY?!" she goes "Because you're all trash and i wont allow trash on my bus" and drives off.

GOD! WHAT A DISGUSTING MEATBAG! Shes not worth the air she breathes! I tried to stop the bus to let the kids on but she was in high bitch mode. when she finally did let me off (3 stops after my stop) I walked back and gave the kids a card with the number of a good lawyer and a note to give to their parents about what happened. Then I called Metro and told them what happened and the lady on the phone said she'd look into it and if there was any shred of truth to the story, the woman driving the bus would be fired.

people like that sicken me. Does she have any idea how much damage it does to kids to be called trash?? I was called trash and figured I'd always be trash so I got into a lot of trouble and shit...cause well I was trash.

eventually I got out of that and made something of myself but I see how many people DONT. and its the fault of people like that.

It's prejudice, pure and simple and it has no place in society. That lady had some kind of power trip sitting behind the wheel of her bus.

Maybe its time to legalise 'mercy killings' to protect the innocent...

edit: And I'll grant you theres plenty to complain about in that age group...and hey if you wanna be hating on middleschoolers FINE...go ahead. but they deserve the MINIMUM amount of human respect. god...and its her JOB to be a bus driver so she HAS to pick them up. unless they're breaking any one of their rules (which they weren't. didnt even have the chance to) she HAS to pick them up

So she's still a bus driver? That lady is having a bad day, she is hormonal or just plain belicose for a variety of reasons, I remember fondly our bus driver in Alabama pouring her derisioin upon all of us..LOL...ah those days on Kipling road...we were a cheery lot.....cheery and violent.

I remember a school bus driver I had..........he would show up wearing a T-shirt with a huge marijuana leaf on it and under it said "Columbian". He was almost always blazed too. Would drive too fast and didn't care if some of the kids wanted to smoke (regular cigarettes) on the bus.

About a year later it was discovered that about 20% of the school bus drivers in our district didn't even have driver's licenses. "Mr. Stoner" was one of them.

Well, after thinkin bout it for a while. I'd be pretty pissed off if I had a sh*tty job like that. Her ignorence + lack of intelligence = an inability to cope with the situation. Kids get on the bus and they talk about the dumbest cr*p over and over again every single day.

Good thing the get all the fat chicks that failed in life to do that job. The are probably so used to being shat on that they can handle the job without blowing one of those little punks away.

My thoughts, she shouldn't have done that if she wanted to keep her job. Maybe she wants to lose her job so she has a reason to do a drive by on the kids. If thats the case gj Gem!

Chances are though she will probably go home, gorge herself with chocolate, license plates, body parts, and only God knows what else before crying herself to sleep.

I can't say I ever like bus driver's. Even the nice ones. Can't respect someone getting a power trip off of driving an oversized twinkie. Bus driver's pretty much = cafeteria lady or the person who f*cks you over when they are having a bad day or just when they want to.

Maybe she'll strap a bomb to herself and run over those little sh*ts.

God knows we need less people in this world, so lets let all the dumb ones kill each other off.

All joking aside what she did was wrong but its not that big of a deal. The kids probably need the exercise anyways.

imo, any stranger that says anything that is insulting is ignored, i've been called alot of shit, tons of it. But if you take everything seriously, you'll never be able to cope with much of anything.. or it'll be beyond difficult to try.

Gemini, I find this quite an interesting topic that you've hit upon.

This is a classical example of 'learned behaviour' and the demonstrates how repeated verbal, emotional and pschological abuse can effect ones cognitive thinking ability. IE Something happens > causes an emotion (typically anger, sadness, resentment) > leads to automatic thoughts (such as 'I am trash, things will always be the same, I will never be normal.'). The overal effect of this pattern of thinking can have a dramatic effect on peoples lives.

As you quite rightly said "eventually I got out of that and made something of myself but I see how many people DONT". The sad truth is that many do suffer for years and become entrenched in unhealthy lifestyles (self-medication via substance/alcohol misuse, self-harm and unlawful activites are typical).

The experiences you had as a child and after that as a young adult created the person that you are. You should feel extremely proud that you did manage to break free & enjoy (I hope) a happy life. Consider this: You now have the insight and empathy necessary to recognise the feelings and emotions of others around you. Their are not many people out there that possess this skill and is a useful resource for your close family and friends. I encourage you to use it to assist those in society who are less fortunate than yourself.

Perhaps they need that so they are equiped with the tools to handle negative words and thoughts later in life. Maybe it hurst their pride but also maybe they will be less prone to killing themselves later in life.

no...at that age that shit really can mess the kid up. people don't really realize what power they have over other people (especially kids) and how the stuff you say can affect them. its easy to say they need to grow a pair and move on, but it never really works that way.

Kids are nothing but trash when they are on buses. Whether it's school buses or public transportation they treat the bus ride like it isn't connected to this world, it's in limbo, and they can do anything they want on the bus and say anything they want to people around them or outside and nothing can happen.

What the driver did is wrong and she should be reprimanded, but bear in mind she probably has to deal with all sorts of abuse daily I know I've seen first hand what some idiot kids can do as well as all the idiot things I did on the bus (everything from vandalism to fights).
