almost as bad as AOL & all these other sites about putting a dab of this and a dash of that in youre rig whitout you knowing about it.Once in a while I will do a clean sweep looking for bullshit programs & this and that on MY hard earned HD's.Granted,it's my fault for not reading the "contents" better. But its still underhanded and sneeky and BULLSHIT!!!!!

That the thing..
Installing tools bars and all that bs, it's pointless and counter productive as they oventually bring in other garbage.
ATM, i should load up my current programs list, you'll see not a single thing that uses a taskbar icon (enless it's absalutley required such as ATI's CLI.exe which i disable)..

5.2.3277 - best version of AIM ever . Has the best features w/o all that spam BS they load you up with.
Any version of Yahoo messenger is pure bloatware.
MSN messenger is ok i guess.....MSN Live i guess is what everybody has i guess.
SKYPE, i've never tried, but from what i've seen (on my sister's computer), it's pretty neat
ICQ - is that still used?
Google messenger.....google thinks too much of themselves
Trillian......just put all the previously mentioned into one. save yourself 200Mb of system resources, AND still be able to talk to everybody in all your buddy lists .

yes, you can use one program to put all the programs into one. there are two programs that i know of that do this, Gaim and Trillian. I think trillian is the more popular of the two, but i'm seeing that Gaim is coming up pretty well.

Trillian, but imo.
I 've used them all, AOL is by far the worst hunk of shit ever, Yahoo isn't to shabby but isn't as popular as msn messenger it seems. and ICQ royally sucks ass.
MSN is fairly nice clean install as long as you uncheck everything that it asks if it can install....

Has trillian changed since the last 6 months? I liked it back then but I see no reason to come back to it if there is nothing new.
So anything new?
