PIPEX ISP ! UK ! Slow ass speeds for the price we are paying !
Sheesh pipex the no1 UK isp is ment to be sweet but shit, i shit you not that its dam slow...
during the day i get speeds of 400kb average. bouncing up and down all over the place.
at night i get about 500kb average speeds
and after 12:00midnight to 8:00am i get my max speeds of 830kb
wich is beyond the joke
who has the time to download things fast at those times.
i pay £35 for Unlimited 8meg broadband and im getting creepy slow speeds during the days and even slower speeds during the weekend days...
is there anyone else with pIPex that is getting creepy slow speeds becuse i find it rediculess...
also did anyone see the report on the news tonight about broadband nation UK talking about ISPS and the problems others are getting.
i found it amuseing that you see a massive 8MEG in red and underline at the bottom very small text says UP TO lol i fell for that one aswell.

I pay $59.99 a month for "1.5 Megabit" and never see above 250 kb/sec
so you and your 800 can shush
PS - if it's DSL based service, it's limited by line distance, and if it's cable based, it's limited by local saturation

No it doesn't. That's not the peak usage time. It sucks that your speed gets drained by half, but it is normal to be slower during the daytime (probably even slower from 8-10am and 5-7pm).
