In regard to that, and maybe to the chimpanzee as this very thread belongs to him or her, just like to post this study that I thought was interesting a while back when I read it, my father brought it back home for me to see (since I was somewhat a dumb kid when I was that age) so I thought it would be interesting if I posted it here but I never got to as I never get to do most of the things I think I am gonna do on the site nowa days thanks to a lack of time but here it is, for your reading pleasure, it is kind of interesting since it goes against the laws of most conventional thinking.

Brains of very smart kids mature later
Study: Delayed development of cortex may promote higher intelligence
NEW YORK - Very smart children may seem advanced in many ways, but a new study shows they actually lag behind other kids in development of the “thinking” part of the brain.
The brain’s outer mantle, or cortex, gets thicker and then thins during childhood and the teen years. The study found that in kids with superior intelligence, the cortex reaches its thickest stage a few years later than in other kids.
Nobody knows what causes that or how it relates to superior intelligence. But researchers said the finding does not rule out a role for environment — such as intellectual stimulation — in affecting a child’s level of intelligence.

So the slow development of the cortex or the brain stem showing late development may actually be a sign of smartness and intelligence but in the end it all boils down to experience/having a rich experience that is that is the most important factor contributing to a child's intelligence, along with what the child eats that feeds their brains well or not so good, Omega 3 has been shown to be good for bringing around more concentration and better brain development in children, though high Omega 6 intakes will cancel out Omega 3's effects, Omega 3 as you may know is also good for promoting better blood flow thereby leading to less chances of heart attack/stroke and heart related diseases. Good idea to take it, one or two capsules, regularly, I've been taking it regularly as of late and have noticed that my angina seems to have been going down and I am more calm and think more clearly than I used to back when I didn't take any Omega 3.
Also I've had less low self esteem/lack of self-belief ever since I started taking them, it's like Omega 3 is for some reason good at resolving depression, and if you're like me and regularly suffer from depression, Omega 3 may be for you, if you're battliing a heart disease then you should be on it if not then you should ask your doctor and get on it right away, it makes the blood more fluid and therefore it flows better and has a lesser chance of clogging up and that. A doctor did a recent study and in it he found that the lowest levels of depression are found in societies that take Omega 3 in their food (it can only be found in red oily fish, something that most of us get little or almost none of now days, like salmon and the like) and the society that has the least level of depression is none other than Japan's because of the high level of sushi and red oily fish that they take in corpious amounts, it actually goes down (depression) proportionally to the amount of Omega 3 or fish that these societies take, it can be found in some vegetables as well, but not in the best form that the body needs for the brain's development.
The eskimoes also rarely ever have any blood or especially heart diseases coz of all the red fish that is rich in Omega 3 that they eat.
A bit mroe relating to the topic, kids with initially good brains actually experience a thinning of the cortex in rather than a thickening any further in truth mostly.
