Hey MS fanboi, stop sucking Bills fat one and show me a damn feature that you use in MS Office 2007 beta that isn't found in KOffice or OpenOffice.
OpenOffice does indeed suck, probably harder than your mom, but I find that other software such as K Office or the GNOME stuff like AbiWord works much better than MS Office.
I have no idea how MS can justify the high price tag for MS Office these days - wankers

openoffice does suck....Office is expensive, but is till bought it....2003 Pro for $300-ish
I can open a document, run spell check, save, and exit in about the time it takes open office to load up...plus there's no JDK required for office...hooray java!

Really? Openoffice writer opens in about 2 seconds on my not-so-top-of-the-line rig, I don't have any other word processors installed atm to try out though...

I totaly agree that you could probably do all that a lot faster in word if you can get through all those steps without it crashing.

But they require linux, which is worse?
BTW, what is JDK? I know that OOo needs JRE for some (useless, for me) functions, but it's optional and OOo works without it.
OpenOffice does everything I need equally or better (OOo Math) than MS Office and it's free => OpenOffice is my choice

Thanks, I thought it's something like that and I'm sure OpenOffice.org doesn't need any JDK, so I think pr0digal jenius and UberLord just confused JDK with JRE
