Pink Floyd said it best… “there’s 69 channels of shit on the TV to choose from…” Only now there’s more like 369 channels of shit. If it’s not annoying adds letting you know that “OUR ADDS ARE LOUDER, THAN ANYONE ELSES!” –OR- feed the starving kids -OR- the retro channels, full of the same lame shit shows we hated back then to, -OR- better yet Martha-inside-trader-fuckin-homemaker, something is bound to break….(my t.v. screen)

My bro was bitching just the other day about how the news was gabbing about American Idol instead of telling you any REAL news.
Why is anything on the news wasting time telling me about American Idol?!? I mean, who the hell actually cares?!?
They also went on to say that American Idol was the most watched TV show in it's timeslot.......well sure....there was absolutely NOTHING else to watch during that timeslot...we looked.
Reality TV is just a way for networks to put some cheap-ass garbage on TV and call it a show. God forbid we get a show that actually costs some $$$ to produce, or a show that people would actually WANT to watch.
Reality TV, to me, seems to be for braindead idiots to watch. I tried to watch that shit. I just couldn't, it was too ridiculous and pointless.

Reality TV...another oxymoron, its neither real or good TV, I have enough to deal with in my own life without watching some other dummy feck up theirs too, I have given up watching tv altogether, with the exception of 'Planet Earth'

American television used to be good, now it seems it is hit or miss on good televsion, everything has formulas...when a whore like Paris Hilton can be elevated to star status and good shows cancelled like Star Trek...there is no God!!!

It all comes down to money (always has). Good shows cost lots of money, if a show becomes popular, you have to pay everybody more and more (writers, actors). "reality" shows are cheap, people are idiots who will do anything (free of charge) just to be on TV. The reason they won't go away is because 90% of the population are also idiots who keep watching this crap.

For the same reasons Reality shows exists here in Europe as well
Humans are everywhere the same when it is about these "kind of values" after all

...American Inventor!
That show rocks cause you actually get to see something that might affect you (as in you might actually buy it) or an invention that could have a positive impact on society rather than a bunch of attention whores trying to be famous.
