Advertisement when login to Driverheaven.net
When I login to Driverheaven.net, the page is refreshing, and goes to 1 advertisement, and I cant see anything anymore from the Driverheaven.net site, only the advertisement. I need to re-inlog to 10 times sometimes, before I get the good Driverheaven.net site Isnt that a bit much?

It certainly is, however I need to see the ad you are getting so I can trace it to any rogue ad code as it could be spyware on your machine.

When I see the ad again, I will post a screenshot here. I checked everything with Spybot and MS AntiVirus and Hitman Pro, everything was clean. Browser is FF btw.

Can you take a shot of the ad in position, including the browser window etc.
At first look that ad isn't coming from us. That's an italian ad provider which we've never had any business from, and all our code has been check by me and is functioning correct.
If you could get that screenshot and if possible view the source of the page and post the html of the page. Thanks

Update: I have taken down code that runs our Pop-under ad, this is the ad that opens in a second window but does not steal focus from the site.
Report back if you no longer find the ad.

It is just simply on the left upper corner of the screen. The whole page is refreshing, and you only see this add in your screen (Go back doesnt work either!). So just open the ad in a new screen, and you should see the same as we do

I seem to get an ad that pops up in another window. The page is blank, but there's an address on the top: http://secwave.vo.llnwd.net. The title says "Reunion"

I dunno, Z. It just popped up this morning around the time I posted above. I'll double check to see if I have any spyware.

Z it's coming from a rouge add, It seems to be the ad the larger
2nd from @ the bottom of the page one. I saw this a few times
I was going to say something about this yesterday but I wanted
to make sure I did not have spyware. Also to try to track it down.
When The pop showed up the advert at the bottom of the page was
blank. Makes me think it maybe the cause or have something to do
with the popup.. Check your Pms for two screen shots of the problem.
Thing shows up several times in a short period.
Edit:
Its still happening but this time all the add banners appeared correctly.
EDIT: this is after a routine format still getting them

i just got some bastard popup from a winfixer.com i beleive it was. said something along the lines of let us check your computer for problems. when you click the X, it launched a full page ad for the same thing. close that up, and another mini one pops up again and the same thing happens again. after actually hitting Close this time it dissapered.

I have also been getting an ad for "Winfixer" that requires multiple attempts to close, it was then detected by Spy Bot Search and Destroy

Well, I checked my system with Spybot (100% up-to-date) too, and it found nothing. So that Winfixer thingy might come from another site... But the problem is still that annoying ad that is forcing me to retyp Driverheaven.net (Sometimes even 10+ times )

Tracking cookies are a privacy violation, nothing more.
As for the rest, I've already made my decision... Google toolbar and IE6 fight over who gets to block popups, and FALKAG (Falk Adsolution) earned themselves a "shoot on sight" on any of my systems, for their sh*tty behaviour on this and other sites (joining TRIBALFUSION and anything GATOR in my firewall's "banned sites" list).
... Makes note to click Gooogle ad, though THEIR privacy policies are highly suspect.
I never used to smash ads so ferociously, but the behaviour of most ad companies has now deteriorated to the level of alley cats, just like the number of junk phone calls means even a legitimate telesales operator is likely to get a gruff rejection - the bad ones are spoiling it for the few that are ok.

What's really annoying is that even when I close the Driverheaven.net window page, stupid things still popup. Now I don't mind ads, just as long it doesn't keep disrupting my work, which this does (hell, disrupts my gaming by minimizing my game). Only way to fix it is completely close the browser (in ie case, end process iexplorer.exe), then restart it again, and don't visit DH unless yer prepared for another popup. It never happens when I visit any other site, just as long I haven't opened DH for that session.

We only run one ad that operates in a seperate window. and that's the initial pop-under ad on the front page. It's designed to only run once a day if you have your cookies setup properly. and if you close the DH window it will be there underneath but I assure you it loaded when you first entered the site. DH does not run any other pop-ups. and our pop-under does not make anymore pop-ups occur.

Yes, I'm in the process of converting all the themes over to vb3.5, and I will move the ad into the same possiton as is seen in BlueHeaven. It's a timely process and i'm currently juggling Uni, Work and my girlfriend. But I promise it will be sorted.
