Which forum skin are you using?
Which forum skin are you using. The reason I ask, is that I frequently see people posting messages using this color (and other light colors), which on my screen is virtually unreadable without first selecting the text.
BTW: Why does the forum use a black background for composing messages and a differenct color (light grey), for viewing messages? It makes choosing a good color to use (when using colors) more complicated then it should be (especially, if these colors are readable by some people and not by others).

9/10 times people use colors for no reason, so just don't use them.

Yes, I can choose to not use colors in my messages, but that doesn't prevent other people from doing so, and doesn't help me read that text.
I changed my skin to blue to see the difference, and it definatley changes which colors are readable. Maybe the skin settings should not affect the message composing window, nor the message text window (choose one color and use it for both, let the skin effect everything else), as it kind of defeats the purpose of using colors to emphasize parts of your text, if it looks different to everyone (depending on which skin they are using). Just a thought...

Having a universal colour for forum text boxes would kill the whole look and will never be introduced.
The only reply box that differs from the post box is on PureHeaven, it was done as part of the design.
If people use colours then they won't be as easily viewable on one as the other, if the colours are left at default then they'll show correctly on all themes.
But if you decide to use black then it will show on pure and skyheaven, but not on neon or midnight, we're not going to remove the choice to use colour, but we do request people use it responsible. I personally see colours on a forum as the most pointless thing ever.

Well, it can be useful sometimes (i.e. syntax highlighting for source code snippets, etc).
In any case, it is not a big deal.

I like it dull and gray, I dont care which theme it is, but I dont care for the Java buttons on the left, because most of the computers I use on site and at Kinkos or Documart cant see them, and I dont have admin priv's to change that either...sigh...

If you're talking about the front page, it's a flash animation not java. The difference being they're being very harsh if they disallow viewing it.

Yeah, I also used to use colours in all my posts when I first joined this place (as some of you might remember ), wasn't exactly for no reason, just used them to highlight important points and things that I thought people should get in my posts....
But I'm currently using neon heaven, I think it's the best one, anyone using anything else has to have their heads checked!!!

I started using default, witch is pretty good, except the only flaw that it does NOW show visible link into the edit area (just like the pasted link is not there, untill you higlight it by selection) and therefore I tried the midnight heawen and it looking pretty good, except the strictly white color into the dark background into this edit window...
One can't get everything, seems

I'm using BlueHeaven, since I like it the most and I think it's colors are very well-chosen.
