well I have not received any email with regards to banned IPS from yourself, so I have no idea which IP address you are talking about. Obviously this IP you are posting under now is not banned so if you email or PM me the details of your banned IP ill look into it.
For safety precautions do NOT post any IP details in this thread. PM or email me them and ill look later when I get home from work.

OK, obviously I am using a different machine and location to send add this post as when I send from home I get this annoying IP BANNED.
My ip I use starts on 211.*.*.*, and occationally this changes but after a few minutes it is blocked again...
I sit behind my router and also use NAT.
I would appreiciated if you can explain this as this is the only site this occurs on..
What is your server trying to look for ?
PEACE

Well we use IP banning to block unwanted guest who brought it upon themselves.

Now that you added your 2 cents worth, you obviously don't want to help with the question, so kindly stick to the flaming area as this is a serious request of investigations and I don't need sarcasm.
On a more serious note, The above explaination does not come into affect as I can log on from anywhere else but from home which is dynamic any way. Further to this I have not abused the system and therefore your reasoning is not justified.
Zardon, can you provide any positive feedback.
PEACE

Sorry I guess I misunderstood. And as I am an Administrator, I will look into it. There was some reason an IP was banned, and for some reason it is counting your IP as being banned. I will look into it.

I have looked into this case and replied to you before - there is a banned IP of 211.*.*.* which is in connection with a member who was banned for abusive behaviour to members and staff both in PM and public board and having numerous accounts, several of which have been removed.
The server will not remove anyone from the board unless that specific IP address has been banned, so in this case, logic dictates you have the same IP as one which is banned, on the other hand as you say your IP is dynamic, I do not see how this is the case, therefore im as baffled as you are.

OK, let's start again....My service provider gives out IP addresses within the range of 211.*.*.*, for most of the time this IP address if FIX'd, (static) if I renew the address I may or may not get a new assigned ip address, hence if it does change I can browse for a short period before it gets blocked again, so most of the time the IP is static. I have done some tests with friends who are on the same service provider and they to get banned as well.
It appears then that the way the server bands the IP address has a large range and therfore cutting off the wrong people.
I hope this now makes more sense and am looking forward to a quick solution.
PEACE

Hi. Your ISP is caching web pages. You are on the same ISP as the person who was blocked. Instead of seeing the correct pages you are getting the "IP" blocked message.

Now what i don't understand is why you can access the server on an on-and-off basis?

Strange as it sounds, it may be a bug in PHP/Your ISP, because PHP's method of accessing the remote IP, may be accessing the address of the ISP, and not of the client, thereby, esentially banning a crap load of people.
I had read of a way around this on the PHP.net site, and I will look for it, and apply it to DP, hopefully it will clear some issues up.

pls try this.. check your ip 2 times
1st do it straightaway after connected.. then a minute later check it again. use "ipconfig/ all" or "route print" commend.
even better if you cud show it to me BUT do not use real ip just use a make up one.

Well it looks like it's resolved, not sure for how long, as my ISP renews my IP every 3 days.
Let me know

well i didt got any PM from you.
and reason that i told you to check your ip two times becoz some isp.. (some and it doesnt means your) will reroute your connection after you connected.
you dont have to send me the route print anymore since you said it's resolved.

Well it seems that I jumped the gun, this still locks me out. I am using my works dial up service which does not go through the ISP that I use from home.
CAN ANY PERSON ASSIST ?
As for the log to send to you, I do not see any info that would point to this as the routers are the same no matter how many times i perform the command.
This REAL problem is affecting more than just myself, it is affecting every person on this ISP's network.
HELP ?

but i will continue anyway..
well do you have any prob? with the advanced teleconferencing programs such as icq, msn, yahoo msging or netmeeting and the prob like incorrectly file send and/or received..
do you have/know your isp proxy server address?
do you use your isp e-mail adress? for exampl if your isp name as "abcd" you e-mail will be like "you@abcd.com" or close to.
just "Yes" or "No" will do..
also check whether or not sometime you will get private ip ISO public one
;
edit.. ***no need to answer.. questions was no good.

It's simple - if you're receiving that error message it's because you're coming from a machine with an IP address we've had difficulties with in the past, and so we've had to ban it from forum access. It's that simple.
