user submitted news

Every now and then I stumble upon some interesting news that hasn't been posted at DH yet, and it doesn't get posted for quite some time. I understand the thinking behind not letting just anybody post news in the news section, but how about a section (maybe not even a forum, just a link on the front page) for people to submit news articles for a mod or admin to look at and verify and eventually post in the news section.

Although your news crew is very thorough, even they miss an article or two on occasion...

What do you think?

There is no need for a link... just send what news you have to Zardon... or any of the 'News' mods. There is a Private Messaging system at DH y'know?

I don't like sending people PMs, because it's been my experience in the past that people don't usually notice they have them for a long time. Zardon seems to be pretty quick with them, though.. I dunno..

if anyone has hot news, email it to me or david or any of the news mods, or even just click the contact us link at the bottom of the forum.

The Driverheaven team is active and at least one of the admins as well as the news mods checks in on the forum every day at least once.

Also on this forum, when you have a new PM it notifies you by having a lit up "New Messages" in the navbar at the top. I usually check it right away...
