Not that I recall from last night. I did some online gaming, went to bed, got up this morning and noticed the results were no longer showing.

I'm going to setup Ad-Aware to not run automatically when I reboot. I don't recall rebooting in the interim, but, I'll do that just in case it was that.

I'm now running Ad-aware on a windows box at work and it hasn't altered the cookie.

BTW, the cookie is now being stored slightly differently incase anyone comes here by http://driverheaven.net instead of http://www.driverheaven.net

...hmmm....i've tried to replicate this a few times.... using ad aware...a few other things... (this being with my dumby machine)..... i HAVE to go and use the "DELETE COOKIES" to have the ability to revote..... dyre, i think your just lucky you can "cheat"

Well, I NEVER select the Delete Cookies....except in extreme situations where a lot of other things are going wrong. I have selected the Delete Offline Content a few times. But, since I don't use that option much, I rarely ever select that, either.

So far today, the Vote Results is still showing for me.

Without AD Aware set to run when I reboot.

AND, the Poll results are still showing. I've even cleared my Internet cached once.

Try not running ad-aware for a few weeks - we normally change polls on Mondays.

If this (in)famous problem goes away then it's a problem with Ad-Aware and not us

Since disabling Ad-Aware from automatically starting on reboot, I've had no instance of being able to vote again. I have even run the app and deleted the files it finds manually.

So, the culprit does seem to be Ad-Aware, but only when it starts on reboot.

interesting.... you might wanna send em an e-mail asking for a optional setting for this...problem...if it's set to auto delete all cookies on startup...

It's not that it deletes all cookies. For instance, those that allow me to auto logon to the forums aren't affected.

.... wonder how ad aware does it then..... maybe it browses through... .and finds cookies that weren't created specifically by the user....

I have changed how the cookie is stored - which may help.

Also, every time I ran Ad-Aware (latest as of Thursday last weel) on my Windows PC @ work it didn't delete it once.
