Front Page Poll Vote Problem Again
Seems if I clear my browser cache, even if I don't select the Offline Content option, I get to vote all over again.
Same as previous times this has happened.
Could the Poll have anything to do with the front page error we've been getting?

Poll is based on cookies, so clearing your cookies will let you vote again... ideally people won't be such losers that they have time to stuff ballots by deleting cookies and revoting

Its entirely possible. However, I'm quite sure that the error you mentioned is ad-related, not poll-related.

The day I start writing javascript for something as simple as a poll the sky would fall in.
In other words - no

Adaware does not delete the cookies that store my vote for the DH polls. So neither does yours unless you change some setting in Adaware I am unaware of.

OK...here's something of interest: Not only was my voting renewed, BUT, when I accessed the usual WEBsite that I use to check weather ( www.accuweather.com) I ALSO had to re-enter my ZIP code.
Now, that makes me suspicious that maybe there's a 'time' or 'expiration' mechanism at work. Does IE (or XP, for that matter) have any setting that automatically clears cookies that aren't 'renewed' within a certain period of time? Since the voting was done over a week ago, and there was no further activity on that, it just makes me wonder if there's something afoot in that area.

AFAIK the cookies themselves dictate when they expire, unless acted on by some other program or setting.
