Opera says NO! to DH
Can someone explain to me why I cannot type Forum messages in Opera? Once I get to this little message screen I can no longer use my keyboard, within the confines of Driverheaven on opera. Esc does nothing, can't type. I'm really kinda miffed as I really like Opera and have never had this problem before. So if anyone can clue me in, someone who knows code as I don't I'd love it, even if I can't fix it I'd like to know why. Thanks!

I'm a frequent Opera user and is currently using version 7.11. I've got no problems at all with Driverheavens page.
The only thing I've got problems with in Opera is ASP pages. Don't know why...but I just make a fast switch to IExplorer.

Usually because ASP pages are written to work mainly with IE (I know that's a generalization, and not always true )
If an ASP page was written correctly, Opera would render it correctly, it's still just regular HTML.

The only problem I've seen when using opera is that sometimes the ad at the top of the page appears down in the middle of all the threads. But that only happens once in a while.

Yes I've also experienced that, and it's annoying, but it's a browser bug.
(Not sure if it happens in 7.20)

Happens to me too, but only when loading a page with a post anchor. Seems that the position of the image is rendered relative to the top left of the visible page after the page is loaded. This could probably easily be fixed ;_;

Update: Only happens with certain ads. Looks like it's something on the ad server's side. Time to tell them about the problem?

Well, we render the ads in an IFRAME so the contents of the main page should be irrelevant

I know this thread is waaay old, but... I have a growing interest in opera and opera users..... so :
Is it possible that you (the Users) have Opera set to Identify itself as IE? If the server is generating browser dependent code, this could be really messing things up.

You know I think it was in issue with my install that caused this initial thread as I now have no problems with opera. Except for the banner ad showing up in the middle of the scree at times, of course blocking the ad server fixed that issue.

AFAIK we aren't using any specific client code. We try and cater for all browsers through one set. Exactly what problems are you guys seeing?

Tisn't happening at the mo, so it could be certain ads. It could also be the fact that I'm now using Opera 7.20, rather than 7.11, as I did when this thread started.
