Dragon Age skin

I just noticed the new skin , thanks for that . I prefer however to stay with spore

I'm using Sereneheaven, my main issue at the minute is all the dark skins, Reading light text on a dark background for a long time gives me a really bad headache the the point where i can't see straight sometimes.

And yes i know you can change skins easily i'm on Sereneheaven at the minute which is nice and easy on my eyes, But seriously why all the dark skins?

Seriously, why not? its our style now and they are popular. when we had a poll on the old template, the overwhelming vote was dark skin for default.

We always will have a light one, and maybe more at a later date.

Ah right, I don't know how you guys can read so much text on a dark skin. When i login to DH on Noodle's lappy we're forever switching skins between dark and light because she uses dark and i use light

I like the light skins you've got now, Sporeheaven's still my favourite i reckon

I'm glad you kept that one

Yes , I seconded mousy . I prefer a white background. Anyway my choice wont suite another people and vices versa , that's the advantage of multiple skins.

Well its actually a little debate on 'legibility' I personally find whiter skins harder on my eyes and I love darker forums as you aren't getting eye strain from a huge screen area of whites or greys.

We always had a lighter blue theme on DH, probably before you found us. the changes were made going on feedback - darker themes are also much nicer for skinning.

We do like to make sure there is a light theme regardless, but we can do another later to help you guys out.

Can't say fairer than that, right?

I like it. Then again I am a sucker for the orange colour.

BTW, is there an easy way (not you guys doing a whole new skin lol) to have the colour of the font used in posts the same as for the "bookmarks", ie orange?

I know it may sound weird, I guess I feel nostalgia about the old PC days.

I'm well aware of dark stuff being easy to skin, Means it's easier to get away with more little imperfections with images

, Little changes like colour goes a lot further too. I do it a lot with Joomla.
It was just something i was wondering about really, I'm perfectly happy with SereneHeaven or SporeHeaven. As long as at least one of those is available then it's all gravy this end

usually end up changing the default, they always have too much post box red or something in them, but this one's staying

When i was designing web layouts for hardwired with my mate simon instead of spending ages getting one layout perfect whilst we were picking and choosing i just released one when it looked more or less complete and tried to hide the little niggles whilst i fixed those up.

It's a seriously bad habit i know, But in the meantime i need to think of a technical term for "Fix Half-Arsed Attempts Later"

I don't think its possible to release something thats perfect on a design level. always improvements possible really, just have to accept a certain quality, get it up and move on, otherwise the content would be down by 80%!

Oh yeah websites are always a work in progress, That's what helps me ignore little errors that would take more time than a huge glaring error to fix

The only hard part really after getting everything designed and working is generating traffic, Trying to find a USP is a total arse when you're competing against a large market
