Fix the Search

I came here wanting to know about drivers for the Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 GTX for the Dell XPS Gen 2 laptop. When I typed "Go 7800 GTX" in the search, I got this message back:

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: Go, GTX"

I got a million hits on 7800 which did absolutely nothing in terms of giving me the info I needed. I couldn't go through every single one to see if it was a Go. You should think about changing the word length filter to include some common searches like Go, GTX, GT, XPS, etc etc...

Also, 60 seconds between searches when you're not finding what you want the first time, is a tad steep. Fix the search and it might make a little more sense.

Vbulletin excludes common words for a very good reason in terms of server load, adding terms like Go isn't feasible, but I will revise the list to include GTX and some of the other more common acroynms. Most of the modern vBulletin boards now halt the search altogether if you have short words in the search rather than just not include them and trust me that can be a lot more frustrating as you still have to wait to search again.

The search limit is rather high at 60 seconds and I will reduce that to 30seconds.

Thanks for your feedback I will make the amendments as soon as I get chance.

Craig
