delete button
i think it would be nice to have one. and it would only be used to delete your own posts, nobody else's, just your own.
other, not as awesome, forums have such a feature, why can't this one?

Yeah I meant all DH users but thats just my 0.02 cents about this issue. Since you can always edit your post so I don't see the need of the delete button.

because several long standing members left, and decided to delete their own support threads, thats why.
This way people can't delete important things they have committed to the site in the past.

while that is true, what makes them from going back to their thread(s) and instead of deleting them, just going back and hitting the "edit" button and replace all the information with just two characters, typically used are two periods, ex. ".."
but, i guess you have a point as well.

Wow, what would make anyone not only leave but delete supporting threads as well?
What worries me is not that some people would do that, but it is such a common thing that the delete button had to be removed from the forum.
I wasn't even aware of the problem, not that I should.
It says a lot about some people though.

I can see just editing and not deleting posts, but to think that something I posted was a contribution sure puts a lift in my shoe..

nothing, however it is easy for us to restore edited text if the problem is bad. its not so easy restoring a ton of deleted threads.
Anyway this has been answered, closed.
