Recently I find navigating the DH forums impossible. The forum main comes up as usual, but each individual thread takes an eon to load, im talking about over 1 minute. No other forum gives me this problem. Im sorry if there is a thread about this, its just it takes forever for me to search also I like this forum, i'd like to continue, but atm its almost impossible. Help!

Is it because of the ads?

guys if you cant access the forum or site, try using a flash blocker. Its not an ideal solution but for now its worth a try, well until the ads run their course.

thats really strange...I mean honestly I find no slow down in the forum proper at all. In fact lately I've been feeling like its been a bit snappier. Its the main site thats been a problem for me and it keeps slowing down more and more. :-\

Maxthon has one built in - it installs over Internet Explorer.

I don't use any blockers as I need to see how the site is performing with the ads up. and for me DH is as slow as hell right now. I am using opera which helps, its worse with Internet Explorer.

I have this same problem with every browser I've tried unless I use adblocker. Firefox with adblocker helped, but now I'm giving a run for ie7 just for a change.

The bad news is that site revenues will take a substantial hit, though, right?
Difficult quandry to be in.

Ah don't worry the site won't be going down. These ads however have been more trouble than they have been worth, however when you honour an agreement you need to follow it through.
Anyway thanks to everyone for sticking with us over the last few weeks I know it has been painful.

It's good that you stick with the committment. We can all endure a little pain for the greater good, especially since it's not likely to continue long.
See, people can be patient for only a little while - then human nature demands that we start complaining like Nancy Boys.
