Deleted messages.
Now it has happened twice, why do you erase my replies? Atleast give me a reason why you are doing this.

Only yourself or staff can delete your messages - we have a no-deletion policy here. Could you explain more about these deletions?

They didn't contain any rude language or personal attacks. I wrote the same reply twice in this thread: Saddam’s fate remains uncertain they both disappeared. I even think that ByteMe answered the first one. But it's ok, now I know that neither the admins or mods erased them, larger things have disappeared from databases, ask M$ activation center .

Odd. BTW, we don't use any MS products here as DH runs on a Linux box

I think Gog posted a comment basically stating his belief that the US govenment was extremely dumb. He wasn't rude, but shortly afterwards his post was deleted. It seemed to me that someone with a bias twoards the Bush administration may have taken exception to his post and deleted it. But of course I don't know that for sure, but as DH is a linux box, it is unlikely to have happend by accident.

Quite a bit of speculation.
There is also the possibility he accidentally deleted it himself or it was a line or server issue. Nevertheless if this continues to happen, we can remove the option for members to delete threads, then if it is indeed a moderator we can investigate and take the appropriate action.
As it stands this thread is resolved. closed.
