so far I have tested it out in Opera and Netscape 7.02 and Mozilla 1.3
and it seems in all other browsers it isn't having the prob with the initial access of the site that im having in IE so it may just be sumthing in the way my IE is setup
I'll have to try and work that out later

Everything's ok in Mozilla 1.3, Opera 7.0 and Phoenix 0.5. I wouldn't know about IE since I don't use it.

I have problems with access to the site and forum. Infrequently, I get timeouts or very slow speed. Might be a problem with my proxy, but I can hardly believe that since I can reach any other site fast while driverheaven is crawling at times. This all happened today and only today.

server loads are very low, and everything seems ok on my side, so perhaps its an isolated incident or ISP issue.

I've also had issues just today... couldn't get on at all earlier for about 2 hours.... and just now it was a while before the home page loaded. I mean the status bar was fast to fill up but was just white stuck for a bit. Overall though, I must say, A+ site

please remember the site gets on average 10 gig of bandwidth a day on the forum alone (with compression on)....... it has a fair amount to cope with.

I'm curious about the technical aspect of this. 10 gigs is a lot, where is it all hosted? What machine, specs and such? What about the back-ups for this?
