I personally tested them and works fine. Played NFS Underground, without crashes(but laggy,10-15fps)...Counter Strike 1.6 had about ~15-30 FPS..

When I was running the 32-bit version of XP I had no problem with my old overclock. When I switched to 64-bit Vista it was no longer stable causing the driver to crash and recover. It doesn't matter what version I use. It started with the 180 series and has stayed right up to the current drivers.

Any thoughts on why this is happening or how I can get around this?

I've had to back down my overclock quite a bit and while the real world impact is likely small it's one of those things that you know just isn't right. ;)
