1, 2, 4. The word "Official" sounds strange here. I, as the author of both, don't see any problem here... Anyway, if you feel better with one shipped with driver package you can get it back (as i wrote above).

3. http://kxdev.narod.ru/ufx/index.html - ? I never heard of such, sorry.

Hi!

Try this:

www.electricstart.de/kxdrdir.htm

It麓s an official kx-mirror and UFX34 is on it!

Cheers!

Smilie Mono Version Request

Max can you please compile a mono version of the EQ P5? just to free some gpr registers?
And, if you have time, an "only" stereo Reverb R?

thanks a lot in advance

bye

Well, let's think... yep, maybe it could make sence...
although mono version of EQ will use ~75% of resources comparing to stereo one (not 50%)...
Heh, the only disadvantage i can see here is that menu of effects will look weird (imagine "EQP5", "EQP5 (Mono)", "EQG10", "EQG10 (Mono)" :) But who cares... Ok, then...

>an "only" stereo Reverb R?

You mean to remove 2 additional outputs (e.g. "quadro ones")?
This will save only two intructions and just two registers...

thanks a lot!
In my opinion every gpr reg worth gold!
even some Waves plug-ins have their mono version!

Thumbs Up!

WOW!

I was really missing something! I knew that there was a party going on, but...
I was unable to try these things until now (was in 3535).
Last night was the night.

So, CONGRATULATIONS to MAX and all the contributers, testers,..

Where do I start?
The GUI is most impressive, very "design". (everybody's jaw must dropped too at the first "tweak" or "double-click")
The knobs and sliders are great but it's the little slots for the wiring that really turned my crank. Nice.
Of course the VU meters are great, the fine markings and subtle colors give them a real precision look.
The EQ Graph is really nice too.
10/10! Full notes everywhere.

The presets are great. They deliver exactly what their names say.
Having a few well-balanced presets always helps getting good results fast.
The EQ and REVERB give a lot of warmth and realism (using acoustic and electric guitars).
This is professional equipment.

Any more of these babies and I will run out of resources fast!
I guess I have to get a 10k2 now eh?
(no, it's ordered).

BRAVO!

Cheers,
Paul.

in kX DSP right-click on empty field and you'll see menu with "Add Effect/Plugin" item - all of installed modules are there.

Thanks... I'm not sure how I missed it the first time, my eyes must have glanced over it...

I know you've heard this before... but this plug-in is amazing, simply put.

max, this filters of yours... have you done the FFT yourself? (i assume digital filters are implemented with ftt)
im getting myself to build a phase vocoder and i havent ever programmed dsp yet.

for start i'd just like to shift the frequency spectrum (fourier coefficients) up/down.

is there anyone i could consult on this subject?

>(i assume digital filters are implemented with ftt)

Many people belive so, but in fact, 99.999999% of filters on the earth
(at least filters for sound processing - software plug-ins, hardware boxes - anything) do not use fft...

FFT (today) is typically used only for "very special things" like "spectrum matchers" (like Steinberg FreeFilter), "noise reduction filters" (probably most of "noise reductors"), some of "convolution reverberators" (too few of them though), "vocoders" and similiar.

well, some tutorials on digital filtering:
http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/~jos/filters/
http://www.dsptutor.freeuk.com/dfilt1.htm
Although i can't believe that you've missed that tons of documentation on digital filters... probably good starting point would be
google->"dsp filter algorithms", "digital filters algorithm" and so on.

p.s. err.. probably those "tutorials" i gave above are too theoretical for starting point of the practician ;)

Actually something like "Using ADSP-21065L for Digital Audio" is much better for understanding (yeah! that's better ;)... you also may check out these 脨脿莽盲氓毛猫貌氓毛眉铆没氓 么猫毛眉貌冒没 盲毛每 锚卯毛卯铆卯锚 帽貌卯猫貌 铆脿 kX DSP 帽盲氓毛脿貌眉? thread for other useful documents on "practical digital filter design" (thread in russian but doc titles in eng.) All of mentioned materials are available on-line and can be found via google (/"document name" pdf/)

hello.
since i'm actually digged with real "reworked" ufx version (new plugins, visual improvements etc.)
and it will require more time then i thought, i decided to make temporary update of ufxs for ver.36/37
this version (1.32.00.3536) should be treated as "beta" and "experimental", but it should be compatible with driver ver. 34.....37

http://kxdev.narod.ru/ufx/ufxsetup.36.exe
(as always, do not double-click on it ;)

important changes
{
added: "EQ P1"
removed: "Surrounder"
}

thanks,

/max

Thank you very much Max.
Is there any change or bug fix in Reveb R?
The new Eq P1 is really usefull for many situations.
Any plan for making a Mono Eq P5?
Why did you removed the surrounder?

No more questions

Nando

>Is there any change or bug fix in Reveb R?

no. i plan changes and "final" version of RR but i'm not sure this will be done in nearest future.

>Any plan for making a Mono Eq P5?

Yes, next update.

>Why did you removed the surrounder?

due to incompability with v.36 native surrounder (which is kind of kludge)
