kX driver not best for gaming? (not all effects)
i heard that kX isnt for gaming. for gamers, u should use default drivers or PaX one. also i heard that kX supports only EAX1/2/3 not 4? well, is it anyway to configure drivers that much u can get same effect as the default drivers.
the problem is that my default drivers wont detect card on my pci slot (all the slots) but kX does. PaX wont detect them as well. (i mean i can get them work for some hard way but surround is gone, settings are ok etc)
so, i'd like to know is kX good for gaming?

need for speed underground 2 sounds good with KX 3538h (default DSP) & 2 speakers. You'll hear the environment change as you go through tunnels and such, music & speech all seem to work fine also.
Doom3 had some issues with positioning - for instance:
If Im facing something that is making sound in directly front of me, it sounds ok. But when I simply turn around to get the sound to come from behind me - it would always sound like it was comming from one side or the other and not behind. Making it sound 'un-natural' - other than that - if things(sources of sounds) are further away in the game, you never notice this.
Those are the only games Ive played with KX.

Games that use Direct Sound 3d Will sound better than ones using EAX, As far as I know KX doesn't support EAX in any of it's forms..1,2..etc...no EAX at all...

Yes, YOu can use them for games. Consider that KX driver sound better than CL drivers. But you do not get EAX....But if your really into games and like EAX stick with cl drivers...if you don't like the ones you have..then load some modded drivers that still have EAX...

I just play WoW and I have to say that the kX drivers perform very poorly. The positioning is awful, and I get lots of cracks and pops.
Perhaps it's because I'm a kX newbie but I think I will stick to the CL drivers since I'm not really into anything but games and music.
Besides, if you don't install all of the bloatware it's not that heavy on the memory usage

Your decision. Nobody said you had to use them. IF your really into gaming then CL drivers are probably the way to go, but music wise? no contest...KX can't be beat for music..
