Well, ProFx ADC plugin has little to nothing to do with 24/96 stuff,
so you should be able to get native 16/48 signal from those 2 extra UDA outputs
with ~10dB SNR improvement (unless there are some sb0240 quirks)
As for 24/96 stuff on CL cards+kX; I never even bothered to figure that mode out simply because ASIO 24/96 is not supported by kX. In other words; useless(to me)!
Anyway, at least that ProFx version works with all driver releases from 34 to 37 .

I noticed some users don't know this but;
There are two ProFx v3.08 versions available for download;
One is compatible with all 3534 to 3537 driver releases,
the other is compatible with all 3538 driver releases.
http://members.home.nl/nahutec/ProFx/profx3x.htm
In other words; ProFx v3.x works with ALL kX driver releases!
(well, ...should work )

I need a little explanation on how Profx:MX8, for example works.
I have an sblive 0220 and i am using kx since the beginning. I managed to do a few good presets, but now i wanted to migrate to profx instead of the Xrouting and fxbus and epilog.
So, i managed to find out a lot of thing but i don't know how to do this:
I want to be able to control the level of all the 6 channels (F, Rear, C+SUBB) Reverb and Chorus. I put a few SRC with the corresponding FXBuses and i connected them to MX8. The Output of the MX8 i connected to surrounder.
But i don't know if this is correct, because has the outputs labelled Send2 ... something like this, and one of them Recording. I know what to do with that, but what about the rest ? Any help is appreciated. If you want to help, i can put the preset i made to the kx preset exchange page. Thank you.

Controlling all volumes - imo - is easier using Epilog instead of Kxlt (specially since I have Multimedia keys on my PC's keyboard, and can use that volume control to control 'Master' volume.... but theres 1,000 ways to skin a cat with kX - it may depend on DSP resource usage - and what exactly you are trying to accomplish too ?? (which you didnt mention anything other than controlling all outputs?? - all outputs used separately, like surround sound? - or for monitor sends to band mates who wish to have varying levels in their 'mix'... ??)

Just thought I would mention that the current ProFx version appears to work with kX 3539.

I would like to know if there is an easy way to "modify" the k2lt to be able to reach the last 2 channels of a A2 ZS ? Can we modify a existing choice in the drop box to point theses outputs?

I know I don't need to tell you this, LeMury (you know I like and am used to that name), but 3538 final or 3539 is finally out. I haven't even installed it, yet.
But when I do, I would sure like to be able to use it with ProFX!
See you, oh dear fellow.

If Epilog supports those 2 (extra??)channels you mention, then Yes, (theoreticly) is should be possible for me to modify k2lt to support them too.
However, I dont have a ZS to test/verify and frankly I know little to nothing about how a ZS differs from any 'regular' A2 card.
BTW: What KX_OUT port numbers are you reffering too?
/Lex.

Hey Thomas,
No prob with the name .
I haven't been able to test 39 myself yet, but as the good folks here have been reporting,
it should work since Profx doesn't rely on KXGUI related stuff is and therefore less sensitive
to driver version changes.
Only if there are major changes beeing made to KXAPI (which so far has only happend once with the introduction of 38), it is necessary for me to update Profx.
(Nevertheless, it wouldn't hurt either to recompile Profx with 39 just to be sure )
Cheers,
/Lex.

Doing something wrong...
Okay, I'm old school, and know I'm blowing it somewhere. I followed the directions pretty carefully, and for some reason I'm not able to identify any change in the KX mixer visually. Also Since I've re-installed the KX version 5.10.0.3537 prior to downloading and um... installing this ProFX (seemingly to no avail) I can see no difference.
By no means does my KX Control Panel resemble this --> ProFx Version 3.x
But my problem isn't as much visually as it is my inability to pipe an audio saignal through the mic/line (line2) of my SoundBlaster's physical front access panel.
I'm pretty much willing to do anything to get this to function effectively. My brain is getting fried over this, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an Audigy (SB0090) and a LiveDrive! IR (that kx dtects a LiveBay2) and have absolutely no probs with the set-up of either the kx drivers (3538) or the ProFX plugins (props to LeMury!) and it looks the same as the link you posted.
have you made sure that the input that you want sound from is correctly configured in the kx mixer?
It's likely to be something simple like that, otherwise something must have gone awry - obviously - when you did the install.
post the output of the kx manager -> about box, maybe there's something to see...
Cheers

Those pictures are the GUI for the ProFx plugins themselves (not kX Mixer... ProFX does not change kX Mixer).
Make sure that you download the correct version of ProFx for kx 3537.
Make sure that you register the plugin (double click on the file you downloaded (after putting it where you want to keep it)).
Open the kX DSP and load the ProFx plugin that you want to use.
Double click on the plugin in the DSP window to open the GUI/Tweak window for that plugin.

Hi LeMury,
would it be possible, to write a plugin like the famous MX8 in the same style (meters and scribble-stripe), but with up to 12 mono input channels with balance slider and 3 different stereo output busses, routable via buttons from each channel? This plugin should work as a monitoring / FX mixer for recording sessions. Then I could throw my dusty monitor mix plugin away, that fills up the whole screen
Thank you in advance!

Hey TravelRec,
Possible of course, but I have switched entirly to laptops so I don't have access to a PC+CT card anymore. Actualy I was thinking of buying an Audigy PCMCIA card but that thing sucks so I bought an Echo PCMCIA instead hence no kX "joy" anymore
sry!

Heh Lex I own Audigy ZS & both Echo Ingidos... Yeah, output on A2ZSnb sucks, but have you ever tried to use a standard headset microphone with Echo? A2ZSnb really kicks ass with skype, I can alter the sound the way I want, and simulateneously record my dialogs (using sends)... I think A2ZSnb is really cool with all those awesome routing possibilities in a small notebook. :-)

Yup, I guess A2ZSnb is good for skype etc.(has Mic In)
But than again, so does my notebook's crappy onboard soundcontroller/ac97
I use my stuff for Music production and audio programming,
so good driver support, and most importantly;
"Open source" drivers/HW-information is far more important to me than a buld in Mic In pre-amp.
Echo is (afaik) the only company providing source code and hw info on their
soundcard products.
I have no doubt that A2ZSnb is a good piece of hardware.
However, it is (intentionaly?) crippled by CT drivers/software.
(Much the same as with good old sblive cards, hence kx project)
Well, I'm not going to wait till CT decides to release full HW-info on A2ZSnb.
Cheers,
/Lex.

Maybe someday I'll buy a used A2ZSnb (for little money) just to fool around with it. We'll see.
I haven't noticed much from the storm tide yet.
Let's hope it stays that way! Thanks for asking.
Cheers,
/Lex

Oh yes, AudigyZS2NB is a cool thing, maybe Eugene can put an eye on it to fix the current problems.
OT: It seems the great barrier before rotterdam was a good idea /OT
