The only thing I noticed that is a little strange is that if you highlight the channel name (in MX6), and click outside of that box (i.e. click on a slider or in another channel name box, etc) That the channel name stays highlighted. So if you select one, and then go into the box for another channel name and select it, both channels names are highlighted, you can repeat the process and have all the channel names highlighted at the same time. The only ways to clear the highlighting, is to go back in the channel name boxes and de-select the text, or use the reset button, or close the plugin window.

Ok

Also I just found out that uploading images is disabled. I emailed the sample to LeMury but to describe it for you Nando:

The parts than are Large wth White background on yours are large black text with transparent background for me.

And the object the left (the slots) has a White square left alighned on them with the remains of the slot to the right end (the square is a smaller base than the slot width.

This is almost certainly a Windows problem and may vary depending on:
1. The display driver (whence display resolution and color depth)
2. The mouse driver (whence acceleration intellipoint etc.,
3. The keyboard driver (similar stuff)

As well of course versions and debug version compatibility with all the Dll's that impact area.

With what I see on your image (Nando) there is at least two versions of the bug let alone those that see no problem.

Nando, John, BODYPRINT,
Thanks for the pics.

Aha,..the checkboxes/switches!
(all the time I thought it was a problem with sliders)

Anyway;
I see a problem with the checkbox 'redraw',
and some transparency issues.
Shouldn't be to hard to fix, but the strange thing is
that I still can't reproduce it no matter what I do!

Bicho,
I'll fix the kxlt crash. (Must be something I overlooked while combining k1lt/k2lt)
However I can't test it myself, so I have to e-mail you
some test version and will need your cooperation.
As for mono channels etc;
Yes, after fixing these skin issues.

/LeMury

hello,

nice one!! long awaited plugins.

i haven't tested MX6 yet, just AC97. My feedback is about it. Now I can now record my microphone while listening to LineIn(Tuner) - Nice!!.

About my problem. I have selected my source to be MIC but when I reboot my machine the setting is still MIC but there is no sound. I have to select other source then back to MIC and all is fine. I guess it need some initialization at loading. Can you fix that? Source to be initlialized at startup of plugin?

10x

btw MX6 is fantastic. no words. just the color

And you may never be able to either: there is a lot of Windows/Display driver/mouse/keyboard stuff going on just there, plenty of space for boarder disputes. It can be an issue with one driver highlighting a problem with another.

Good luck in fixing it!!
Finding it may not be worth it (the difference between valid coding and safe coding).

There will always be a DMZ (in this case the non-null boarder between that which is absolutely permitted and that which is absolutely forbidden) with several objects poking slightly into it the outcome can be unknowable. Fixing it is not the same as finding out what it really was.

No. It's just a redraw bug on the switches.
Only reason it looks different on John's, is diff screen resolution, font resolution.
I just have to find out why it doesn't happen on my PC(s) and that of Russ's.
I.e. I don't have sp2 installed. (downloading now)

Just to confirm. I still have not been able to reproduce that problem (I have tried changing various system settings (Windows "Visual effects", different mouse cursors, video card hardware settings, etc). I am running Windows XP Professional SP2.

Thanks for that info Russ. I guess that rules out sp2.
Hmm,..yes I also tried all the things you mentioned. Weird.

Hi. When I change from 'classic old windows style' or whatever it is called in english (my windows is spanish) to 'windows xp style' this is what happens:

http://www.iespana.es/NandoDominguez...nXPdefault.JPG

There is no text now into the ...things. (You have to see my last pictures to compare) I've been changing font style, size and type with no results, as well in 'classic windows' as in 'windows xp' styles.

Ah, I finaly can reproduce it.
If window's "Hide underlined letters...." is on, the 'redraw' bug appears.
The same bug happens if you upload [Dynamic Processor 3.1].
It's probably kX GUI/kSlider related.
Anyway; I'll fix it.

I can confirm that as well.

BTW: What software are you guys using to do the screen capture. I tried Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7, and AnalogX Capture, and I am getting the strangest results. They both capture everything except the ProFX windows (MX6, AC97, SRC). It is as if they were not even there (I tried having both skinned and non-skinned windows open (skinned windows I tried were EFX Tube Drive, and Dynamics Processor 3.1 and 4 (and the ProFX plugins)). It captures everything except the ProFX tweak windows (as if they were invisible).

Ok, that works. Very strange that it doesn't work with screen capture software (that I have never had a problem with before, and only with the ProFX plugins).

Well I still would not bet on it.

Yes it may well reduce to a redraw bug to the end that a change there avoids and that may indeed be tracked back to kX code but there may still be systems on which it does not occur.

It is happening at the edge of going from mouse movement of the slider back to keyboard movement of the slider.

In a graphics accelerated card (and what are not) the mouse pointer is often a sprite moved by the graphics board (to avoid windows redraws on every mouse movement) so that you have just about everyone playing a part at the point it occurs (display driver, mouse driver, keyboard and of course the op/sys).

What I find in particular; is that if I minimise and restore I can no longer make it happen, so something is not being initialized properly on create, but the restore function is causing the correct initialization to occur or something or other like that.

It's great that you released the new MX6 and the new skins. Thanks I've been out of town since Thursday, but will try this new MX 6 later. Concerning the color deal, I guess your wife is wise with her recomendation for grey (cause some users would like a color change), but I'm OK with the Red hehe.

LeMury. If you have to get into colouring, varnishing and all that stuff, could you consider the idea of attenuating a bit those little white stripes around the sliders in the MX6. Actually they are not really very usefull in my opinion, because you'll never go to measure anything with them, and they only contribute to embroil it a bit. When you are recording, usually what you need is a fast view of what you want to do. Probably just a little lighter than the background could be enough, although in my opinion it could be better to remove them. Anyway it is not important at all. Only if it is not too complicated and you agree.
I know you once said that you don't like too much painting

Nando

>>Edit. I did some make-up on them here:

Yes, I found that annoying myself.
Leaving them out is easy (saves work) but lookes kinda 'empty'.
I'll probably try darken them first.

I'll probably change the color.
Not because of taste (I'd have to change colors every week then)
but to improve legibility as some users pointed out correctly.

these new plugins do look great, and in my system the graphics behave perfectly. even when i change resolution, all numbers and text stay in the same place and with the same colors

the new ac97 and kxlt work fine in sb0240, but they killed my sb0060, which is not giving sound since i installed them

and if i try to change anything in the kxlt of sb0060, it crashes the whole app...

can anyone reproduce this behaviour on this card?

hope it gets fixed soon

Lemury, Is it possible to add a color dialog box?....so user can change to whatever color they like..I like your original screenshots before the release..that dark style..very professional looking....Mind you looks is not the main concern in a project such as this but it helps...just a suggestion.
