What version of the C Runtime library do they use?
Maybe I have the wrong version (I have version 7.0.2600.2180). I will look and see if I can find a newer version. <edit> The above is for MSVCRT.DLL. I do have version 8 (8.0.50727.42) of MSVCR80.DLL as well as older versions. Last edited by Russ; Mar 6, 2006 at 03:06 PM. |

I followed your directions and unloaded the previous Profx, everything seems to work fine here. I had to rebuild my DSP presets but no problem opening the plug-ins. That peak meter is nice. Can it be edited to reduce the number of meters? Is it just a matter of deleting some code? Or maybe making it selectable as per number of meters needed.
Thanks for the great plug-ins. |

Nice Peak. I wish it was resizeable to even larger than it is now-to even smaller.
I have no problem Opening MX6 or ADC. I'm using an Audigy SB0092 10k2 [E400]. ProFX plugins open very fast. Thanks for the work Lex.

Did you use any processor specific optimizations (SSE, etc)?
My CPU (AMD Athlon Thunderbird) only supports MMX, Extended MMX, 3DNow!, Extended 3DNow!. <edit> Quote:
WinXP SP2 AMD Athlon T-Bird Processor 10k1 sound card. BTW: Version 3.03 worked without any problems. Last edited by Russ; Mar 6, 2006 at 03:57 PM. |

More info:
It appears that the window is created but not visible. i.e. I can see the window in Spy++ (but it does not have WS_VISIBLE style). Everytime I try to open it (without unloading the plugin), it creates another instance of the window (this is probably what is making kX crash, as it does not crash if I only try and open it once). |

Now I've had a few moments to test the plugins more thoroughly. Excellent Lex.
Now this is a very minor thing (don't bother if you don't feel like) but still the little bugger in me took a stopwatch and measured the times for the different meter release speeds. Fast is about 0'85 sec. Medium 1'20 sec. Slow roughly 2 sec. I still think fast is too slow, or at least too similar to medium. what about making them 0'5, 1 and 2 sec. respectively? Some feedback from others would help, I really don't wat to make a case of this

@Lex - Just FYI... not really a big deal, anyway..
I just noticed the KX Automation controllable 'parameters' for MX6 v3.05 has garbage entries.. Also, ADC has a couple empty entries as well. |

Apart from this, the plugs run really fine with SB0400 and SB0090, thank you Lex once more!

Do they also run smooth enough on your 'slower' PCs? (I mean all those peak meters, GUI stuff etc.) /Lex. |

V3.05 appears fine for me, too.
Can I ask how you do these plug-ins? Any guides anywhere? Or is it restricted by any Creative NDA's? (I ask because I would love to have a much larger "MX16" or so. I am still getting to grips with how I want to set-up my routing and I still fancy a big, general scheme like I used to have with "real" outboard gear) EDIT I've just read-up about LeMury's non-MFC GUI and I think I get the idea...a bit more. Are the "h&libs" still available? And would it be too much to ask for them and an example (MX6, perhaps!) which I could look at and learn from? BR JN

not sure if the DSP supports the resources for an MX16, BUT there is the kX SDK with examples, and all you need is a C++ compiler (afaik) on top of that

It's kX's parameter limit of 65 that is the bottleneck here. (I'll ask Eugene to raise that number) Quote:
