If user perse wants to use kxmixer pages they should use prolog/epilog default dsp stuff or whatever. So from my perspective ADC will always overide AC97 registers. Not the other way around. I'll add an "Update" or "Set" button to ADC which will force ac97 regs back to ADC's current settings. |

LeMury, thanks for the response

But once it is working it does not stay working. Changing the kX output driver (Windows not ASIO) from 0/1 to HD seems to effect the ADC. Not at all sure what is happening. I can get it working perfectly then touch nothing but change driver settings in Audition (which only touches the windows WAVE output driver (from kX) and the Audio data from an LP makes it through ADC and MX6 and disappears. If I were to guess I would say that it seems like thre are three issues: 1. Something is not managing state (overriding it) in regard to the ADC control and its action on kX. 2. The k2lt is participating in an issue in regard to WinMM recording 3. An old Bug between kX and Audition remains (which is ok by itself it is not impossible). I have used Profx before under 3538H and while there was more fiddling to get SB0400 to work, after that the Profx controls did a superb job of taking analogy input (LP) through to Audition. The noise level was exemplary and the contols were very good in use, this is maintained with the new controls, when they work. Of course 3538H is not 3538J, the latter is a lot easier to use with a SB0400 but there may have been some introduced issues. By the way the performance of kX with only the ProFx controls and surrounder+ is very good, low CPU and when I wring out the memory with Igor Arsenin's Taskinfo the available memory greater too. |

OK!! starting with --startup --noac97 or closing and reopening with --noac97 eliminates the problems.

removed from SRC since the introduction of the ADC plugin which handles all those AC97 inputs and AC97.2/Line2(UDA) on 10k2 cards. |

Hmm,..perhaps we should remind this somehow (knowledge base?) in case other users run into similair setup/problems. I'll forget for sure since I rarely use/open any kxmixer page. I'll have a look at integrating p16v stuff in profx if possible and time permits. |

When you want to use an ac97 source like Mic, you have to load the ADC plugin (after installing the ProFX for 3538j). The SRC doesnt have the ac97 sources in the drop down menu anymore. ADC has them, now. Also, when you install ProFX for 3538j you have to install the 3538j kX driver 1st. Then, when you load MX6 or the ADC plugin by right clicking in the DSP and selecting Add Effect/Plugin->ProFX, the MX6 and ADC should work for you, if youre using Win 2000 or higher operating system.

SUN, your card has no AC97 codec, therefore the ADC isn't applicable to your card

Yo dj stick,
i know - but what i try to explain is: In LeMurys SRC-Plugin 4 my SB0280 there is no Line1 but two Line2-inputs (See pic im my previous message) :-( Originally Posted by SUN ..i found no Line1/Mic1 SRC-Input... only Line2/Mic2 which i can use now! btw: AC97.2/Line2 is also there... my cards show
Line2/Mix 2 AC97.2/Line2 also it's possible the UDA codec is used for one of your inputs, just check each inputs with a peak meter in the DSP, to see what ones actually work you should also have aux2/line3 and zvideo i2s, the second of which may be the third available input on your card

In the original ProFX witch comes with 3538J all works fine...I hope 2 remember this right...
I think LeMury only have to rename Line2/Mic2 into Line1/Mic1...??? if its a SB0280... Because this one works! Or is LeMury's SRC-Plugin only seeing what it gets from kxdriver..? SUN alias DJ Sunnie Last edited by SUN; Feb 28, 2006 at 06:44 AM. |

The .3538j ProFX version was posted in post #260 of this thread. That wasn't long ago, but since ProFX is so cherished, there has been a lot of posts already after it was posted, so I think that's why you missed that post. Anyway, LeMury updated the 1st page in this thread to reflect the latest release. Enjoy! Quote:

Great work on the ProFx plugins. They work very well.
Lemury, you changed nick to Lex Nahumury? That will confuse some people. It will take some time to get used to it.

Looks good. The new clip indicator with the selectable threshhold setting on the ADC should prove to be very useful, and the addition of the release time settings is nice touch. It just keeps getting better and better

Initialy I had planned a pop-up slider for adjusting the threshold but was a bit pressed for time so I settled for a menu. >>and the addition of the release time settings is nice touch.[/QUOTE] Yeah, i got all 'jumpy' watching those meters going up&down like crazy providing very little peak/level information on percusive audio material. |
