are you sure you are using the latest version of 'kx.sys'? (bundled with the effect)

Any chance of a Live! implementation, or at least an implementation of a similar effect?
Never mind, I see it makes use of a lot of general purpose registers. What is that hardware parameter for?

I checked installation by instructions in zip then loaded DSP-save headphones.kx. Peak meter showing same levels on both channels in all 3d-sound tools

HPhSp is a beta plugin mainly for internal development
you can, however, try to connect it -instead- of the surrounder plugin
you will need to add additional summs...
stereoL+w -> hpsp
stereoR+e -> hpsp
that's it (in brief)
don't forget to turn on 8-point surround (kxctrl -shw 18 4) -- this will improve gaming experience

You should free up some resources by removing plugins you don't use, for example "Reverb".

Headphone plug in
Dear Devs,
are you considering having plugins that you can choose by clicking on a button instead of having to connect all those lines? I tried out your drivers and played a game called Forgotten Battles (a flight sim) and I was very, very impressed with the performance of your drivers. This sim never sounded so good . . . until I panned my view around in the cockpit. Then suddenly I knew I couldn't use these drivers because the 3D transition wasn't right. When I turned my view to the left, the engine sound shifted to the right . . . this is correct as far as position goes. However, the transition was uneven. It seemed like turning my head 40 degrees didn't change anything, but suddenly at 45 degrees the engine sound switched instead of gradually shifting as I turned my view.
I then found out about the plugin and decided to try it out. In one of the posts here, it says to read the readme that came with the plugin . . . but that link is broken since the plugin is now bundled with the latest driver pack. That post also said to enter some kind of lines (stereoL+w -> hpsp stereoR+e -> hpsp). I have no idea what that means. Where do you add those lines? I tried looking at your online documentation, but I'm afraid that things are not too clear for me. I want very much to be able to use these drivers, but the method of implementing plugins is a bit advanced for me to understand without documentation (with screenshots). The online docs explain the concept quite well, but for some reason I didn't get the plugin to work.
I'm sorry I don't get it. Again, perhaps a simpler option for dummies like me could be considered in a future release. Plugin on or off, for instance (as an option, not a replacement for your current advanced mode).

hpsp is not officially supported and is provided mainly for experiments
there will be an updated version of the Surrounder effect with the hpsp integrated
however, I cannot provide you with any release dates

HPhSp + SB Live
First, thank you for the fine drivers that are improving rapidly!
I managed to make SB Live Value (yes, it's that old) run HPhSp...
I added the recommended Summs.
Clean setup with only FXBus/xrouting/HPhSp/k1lt uses 252 GRPs.
For recording you can use some Src plugins.
(don't forget to unmute AC97 recording - Gain at AC97 recording tab.
I forgot once about this and wondered why the microphone wasn't working )
Screen (120Kb, PNG)
The setup I'm using requires 261/256 GPRs. But it works just fine.
Hint for those who try to use it: k1lt by is not swapped by default, check its preferences.
Now I have a question: what are the in8 and in9 on the HPhSp?
I guessed they stand for top and lfe. (in that order)
Am I correct?

Ok, I think what most people are asking for here is not necessarily the plugin (since it's now included in latest build). But the readme.txt and screenshots. Is there anyway a new zip can be made of just the readme and screenshots and reposted to this thread?
I can mostly figure it out, but my one question so far is... after connecting the appropriate directional links to the HPhSp I'm wondering about where the additional outs from surrounder go? There's only 2 on the HPhSp and 6 on Surrounder. Do I just link the 2 from the HPhSp to where the respective surrounder links linked too? And keep the remaining surrounder links untouched? Would be much easier if we had those readme and pics still available.

you link the two outputs of the hphsp to the "headphones r/l" or "front l/r" connectors on the epilog, mouse over the connectors for their name
