@Russ: TV card volume assignments
Hello Russ,
a few days ago I posted a problem with the volume assignment in 3539 bug thread. Earlier you posted a tutorial how to assign a volume plugin to the synth slider via kx console. This plugin worked perfect in 3538! But with 3539 I can't assign the synth input as source in my tv-software. Do you know a way how to fix this? Thanks 4 help, BuzzT |

I have not tried with 3539 (and I do not have a TV card, BTW), but I am guessing that it will not work because of the mixer issues currently in 3539.
I assume that you can still re-assign the slider, but I do not think that you will be able to select the slider in your TV software (as you stated). i.e. If you run "sndvol32.exe" (Windows Mixer), and choose Options -> Properties, you will see that "Playback" is disabled, and most of those sliders are now in "Other", so unless your TV software lets you choose from "Other", it probably is not gonna work. Yes, it's how you said. The only thing I can access is the master volume in "playback". If this is the only slider to control, is there a possibility to assign the sliders to the master volume and not to synth sliders? (When watching tv I don't care about the inputs.)
I also extended your master volume plugin to control 5.1 sound. Youre microcode has been already there so it was easy to change. Thanks a lot! So if you think that the assignment to the master volume could work, let me know. Greetings, BuzzT |
