can't setup the sound in KX to work properly

Hi,

I can't get this to work propely .... I have kx driver installed and it works ...
but there are all these predefined DSP setting that I load but it never works
100% with everything ..

my basic setup has headphones and 2 speakers ... so basically need 2 outputs ...
now I have this setup called "Stereo speakers and headphones" which works
but when I am inside a game or app there is no sound ....
if I change to gaming DSP setup I have sound in game but on in my both
outputs ... some have sound but degrade the quality ...

can anyone put up a predefined setup that I could use which works with
everything ?

Thanks....

The best solution is to read the guides, so that you understand how the DSP works, which will allow you to create your own config that does what you want.

From your description, it is hard to figure out what it is you want (specifically), which makes it rather difficult to recommend a setup that will work 100%.

To start with, you will need to explain specifically (with all the details) how you would like each config to work, and maybe (if it is possible) we can explain what you need to do.

You should include information such as:
Which specific model sound card do you have?
Which version of kX are you using?
Details such as which output each audio source should be routed to (windows sounds, 3D sound, midi, etc).

From what I can gather from the info you posted, it is not likely that one config is going to do it for you, and you will likely need to load different configuration for different purposes, but again without knowing all the details, it is hard to say.

BTW: Games sounds cannot not always be seperated from other sounds. It all depends on which wave device(s) the game is using, etc.
