??? Which ProFX Version is better for me?

Hi,

I just installed ProFX 3.08 and works fine. Previous, I used older ProFX Plugins, which are included with KX 3537.

My main intention is, to record audio signal from "AC97 Line In" to ASIO. I didnīt want to use any gain or volume control, but wire SRC (AC97 Line In) directly to ASIO. That worked fine with KX 3537 and included ProFX.

On the new ProFX Version, the AC97 Line In has a fix included record volume slider. And there is no bypass button. So Iīm wondering, if there is a signal quality loss because of that. Should I better switch back to the previos version, for my aim?

Thanks for any advices,

Chris

The newer version is better, if you do not want to add any recording gain, then leave the slider at 0.

BTW: That gain was always present (even with older ProFx (it is part of the AC97 codec)), you just did not see its value in the plugins GUI (but it could/can be changed in kxmixer).
