Rerouting the headphones.
Hello dear kx-experts!
I got a pair of new headphones for christmas and noticed that when i plugged them in my headphones connector i get annoying background noise. my soundcard is a SB: live However, i dont get this when i plug them in for example my rear connector. i have a 5.1 soundsystem and i was wondering what the best way would be to get sound from as many speakers as possible and still having the headphones plugged in in one of the 3 5.1 sockets. is there any way to like reroute the headphones to go to rear and rear to go to front? Can i use some kind of splitter on the front sockets? As it is is now, i have the headphones connected to the center socket. so i dont get any sound from my center speakers :S Last edited by Tjock; Dec 25, 2006 at 05:50 AM. Reason: more information |

It's odd that the headphone jack on your sound system is noisy. I'd try to fix that first. If no luck get yourself a headphone "Y" cable. Plug it into the rear outs ,plug the headphones in to one jack, plug the cable to your sound system into the other.Adjust levels. Not very professional but shouldwork fine.
