DriverHeaven - Driver Cleaner Professional Edition 1.3

Here is a new release of Driver Cleaner Professional edition.

Here is a list of what has changed or added since v1.2 (Date: September 20, 2005):
Added:
- 3Dlabs Wildcat 4 cleaning file
- 3Dlabs Wildcat REALIZM cleaning file
- 3Dlabs Wildcat VP cleaning file
- ATI TV Wonder cleaning file
- VIA Envy Audio cleaning file
- VIA HD Audio cleaning file
- VIA Vinyl Audio cleaning file
- Albanian language file

Updated:
- ATI cleaning file
- ATI WDM cleaning file
- ATI Uninstall Utility cleaning file
- nVidia cleaning file
- Realtek AC'97 cleaning file
- Italian language file

Improved:
- Registry searching routine

Fixed:
- Cab Cleaner not working good when cab file was read only
- Cab Cleaner did not clean the cab files in the windows\i386 folder

IMPORTANT: uninstall any older version first before installing Driver Cleaner Professional.

It is for nVidia, ATI, Creative, Turtle Beach, SIS Graphics, 3Dfx and others. It will remove anything that is left by the drivers after uninstall.

The LiveUpdate is removed in this version. I am rewriting it and don't know if i will put it back. It all depends on how good it is and what my plans are.

Excellent tool, very smart in it's form and purpose, but the 3Dfx cleaning routines are rather weak - i.e. after uninstalling V2 drivers when i tried to do wash&go with the DC, some files were still in place thereafter, same goes to registry entries. I can submit some file lists from a few infs, though (Koolsmoky V2 driver, Legendgraphix VoodooMage, FastVoodoo, Raziel64 and AmigaMerlin drivers sets).

Having a slight problem. I just switched from a 9600xt to a 6600gt so I uninstalled the ati drivers the used driver cleaner. Then installed the new gfx card and installed the nvidia drivers. Now it keeps freezing for several seconds or in small places on the screen it goes all garbled. At the moment Im about to do a full format and reinstall XP if I can't find a fix. Any ideas what i can do?

MIKEYMC i am not sure could be a driver problem, but could also be a problem with your power supply. Best you can do is post your question in the nvidia part of the forum.

Hmm well I'll try a reinstall and see if it still does it. I have a 460w PSU that I had for my 6800 GT originally so shouldn't be any problems PSU wise. This is the other halfs PC. I changed her GFX without her knowing cos I shouldn't be spending

So I kinda had to say "yeah pc's always mess up like this all the time not much you can do"

mantra if someone use 1.2 and has a question about it then i still answer it, but there are no updates anymore for that. 1.3 is the newest now and has been updated a lot.
