You should try to update the file on the second mirror, cause the primary one is down or very busy, and on the second mirror it's still the old version.

Could you put an enable Zip folder in there as well.
The enable ULTRA-66 is a bit dubious and should not be needed by anyone, there probably using some higher setting (UDMA100/133) and also should emphasise the Intel part.
I can't remember if IAA/INF updates make this setting useless.
Also thinking about it i'm not actually sure it even does anything as it was Win2K and Microsoft make no mention of it for WinxP afaik
USB polling, interesting...
Any chance you could put the ULTRA-FAST BOOTING/FASTER SHUTDOWN into a schedulable task so the user can have it scheduled to run in idle time say once a week.

FluffyChicken:
I'll write the re-enabling of ZIP folder down for 2.0
As regards to the UDMA-66, it's still required for some chipsets Including my very own Brookdale I845-MP (in Windows 2003 at least)
I'm afraid the Ultra-fast booting tweak idea of being scheduled will be postponed to 2.0 release

The boot files aren't big. It doesn't take long to defrag them

defrag.exe
Okay I started this stuff.. it told me that everything is rearranged and now it started the defrag.exe...
Uhm it just finished the Analysis report and I'm waiting for a couple of minutes now but there isn't anything going on.. just the _ going on and off.. etc..
I doubt that it's done but I just wanna check because I want to reboot and see if I just messed up my system or if everything will work! ;D
Greetings
Exter

That error happens when one or more services aren't configured properly, like the Messenger service. It's nothing serious, the bug has been around since 1.0, even with the ValueExists() check passed. Nothing to worry about

Hi, first I want to say thank you for making a simple, yet powerful tweaking tool. I loved the first version.
I do have one complaint however. I'm not able to get the latest version as the first link times out and the second link is still hosting version 1.0.
Is there a link with the most current version? The link posted in the forums has the version without the cdburn option.
Again, Thank You for a great killer app and TIA for help on the download links.

I wonder why my antivirus program keeps telling me that this has a virus.
It keeps telling me that the file irsetup.exe has the Trojan Horse TR/VB.AA
I use Antivir btw with latest patterns.

Thanks, but is there not a version newer than found here?
http://www.davidhanefelt.dk/TuneXP_15.exe
I've downloaded that one before and I still don't see the "disable cd burning" option. And the links given either time out, have ver1.0 or a version 1.5 that isn't the latest apparently.

Wow that's weird- I usually disable Firewalls and Anti Virus programs before I install programs though..

Yeah most programs recommend that you disable antivirus before installation but it's never a problem and this is first time I've had a virus detection during the installation of a program.
I installed it anyways, just hope it's not really infected.

Hi,
I just downloaded and installed the app (both mirrors) on the DH site. I scanned after each install with Norton 2003 - latest updates and neither file had a virus.
What antivirus program are you using? What OS? and have you scanned since the install to see if anything is detected and removed? My initial suggestion would be that you already had a virus on your PC and that something tuneXP is doing to the system is causing the trojan to launch and your antivirus is then detecting it.
Let us know the answers to the above.
Stu
