Xpress 1250

Sorry my first noob post is a question

I have a Medion akoya netbook that uses the XPress 1250. I used modtool to modify the 9.1 catalyst drivers for Windows 7. The device was recognised as a X1200 and the drivers installed, but on reboot it fails with a BSOD and the startup repair has to be used to remove the drivers.

Any clues?

Thanks
James

Xpress 1250 comes under group being offered limited legacy support see http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...w_vista32.aspx
Assume you have tried latest 9.10 drivers & had problem. It looks like 9.8 is newest version you can use for single card.

Thanks for that - the card is still recognised as a X1200, but it does install the Vista drivers, Direct X 9 works and I've at least got Aero under Windows 7 without it blue screening.
