HD 3450 - 9.7 + Mod v 1.2.1.0
Hi Guys,
Running a Lenovo T400 with the dual gfx setup inside. Radeon 3450 Mobility 256MB / Intel GMA4500 Device ID = PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C4 Full Device ID with Subsys = PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C4&SUBSYS_210F17AA --------- Problem I have is after modding the driver and installing (all goes fine) after the reboot it says error code 43 in device manager. Now I read a post by a chap called Richard else where which got me looking into the C7_84684.INF & CH_84684.INF files and I did what he said about updating the device ID's I noticed that the Radeon 3470 had the same device ID's so I pulled that out of the inf file. (note I had tried before with the 4370 entries in there still in there and it made no difference, I still got the error). Any help much appreciated. |

Re: HD 3450 - 9.7 + Mod v 1.2.1.0
My references were to HD 3470 hardware being recognised as HD 3450. Certainly 9.7 drivers work fine on Win7 x86 & x64 with HD 3470 after manually modding .inf files to leave correct entry in Device Manager.
Your problem doesn't seem to involve driver installation, so try earlier driver version say 9.3 ATI Catalyst? Legacy Display Driver |

Re: HD 3450 - 9.7 + Mod v 1.2.1.0
Heya,
I was hoping to use 9.7 as it has built in functionality for switchable graphics cards. I'm sick of the Lenovo Power Manager as it's just another peice of bloatware I have to run in order to switch GFX cards. The power management functions are a farse and I cna do those directly built in with the Vista power management features after installing the Lenovo power management driver ONLY. ![]() sorry /rant over. God I'm going to have to go through this all again with windows 7! |
