hi i have vista 32 and mobility hd4650, do i have to install MSXML 6? its because i did everything exept that and when i was playing crysis on the last level the pc crashes like crazy and turns off for safety. before i already had problems on that part of crysis but not like this,and i though the new drivers would fix it,not do worst..i tryed then to restore the system an now the catalyst is missing some options in the interface,can that be solved? maybe i did something wrong too?? the previous levels were doing ok..

performing a system restore just because your game crashes on the same point is quite a wrong way.. after fixing everything with the driver and ccc (best would be to completely uninstall and reinstall them), try turning off catalyst AI or setting it to standard/advanced if its turned off now. also, dont set AA & AF manually, but check the let application decide box.

i dont think msxml does play any role.. and it is definitely not the cause of a game crash.

and the fact that you already had problems on the same point of the game before makes it obvious that the game has a problem (maybe with something from your system).

the problem is i can´t reinstall them because i dont have any cd..your english is a little advanced for me lol,but the drivers are working correctly..the control center is the problem..maybe if i try to install a control center without new drivers??dont know what catalyst AI is..

in the worst scenario i can install the 9.7 again and hope it doest happen with other games, another question when a new moddtool is released, we just have to install it or we have to repeat all the process like modify and install the drivers one more time to take effect?

system restore was a wrong step.

you dont need any cd to solve your problem. just completely uninstall the driver and ccc and any ati related software you have, then download catalyst 9.7 (& driver of course), modify it using mobility modder and install.

if the same thing happens, check the catalyst AI slider inside ccc. it looks like this:







best would be to turn it on to advanced, like displayed here - if it happens again, turn it off - if again, turn it on again, since its better to have it turned on generally. also check the other settings and set anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering to use application settings.

if nothing fixes the problem with the game, its not catalyst or your driver that causes the problem. then ask in a crysis forum.

but i did the system restore to come back to the older drives,it was not to solve anything.

dont use system restore. in order to use older drivers, uninstall present ones and install the older ones. system restore is for some serious problems with the OS, like malware damage or corrupt system files or installed (system-) software which prevents the OS from booting etc.

ok but like i said before i dont have how to install the older ones..or there is a way?i dont have any cd,only if vista can update it..
