Second ATI Mobility Radeon 4870 card is not working?
Hey guys, I just recently installed the new mobility modder version. This time, I was actually able to mod the drivers successfully and install them; however, I am still having a problem with them.
Now this is in windows vistax64. After I install the drivers, I get this message on the second card: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43). Basically one of the cards is not working. Now, going into the CCC, it does not give me an option to enable crossfire or anything of the sort. I could try uninstalling all graphic drivers and trying one more time, but I doubt that is the issue. What I'm basically trying to say is is there a way I can get that second card to work while keeping these drivers? I have had the same exact issue when I tried installing the drivers without modding them for windows 7 and in windows vista when I tried to use the regular 4870 desktop drivers. All have resulted in an error and one card not working properly. Thanks! Ehh I'll take whatever answer I can get. I know a lot of us W90VP notebook owners are constantly in pain because our manufacturer cannot provide any sort of support!

Yeah, I just did it in windows 7. Again, the MM properly edits the files, but when installation is complete, only one card is functioning when I look at the device manager.
Ehhh pfft. |

Re: Second ATI Mobility Radeon 4870 card is not working?
I also have my second card with the Code 43 problem. This is probably related to the fact that the second card is in slave mode and not set as a secondary master. Besides the using this guide
W90 Limit Breaker to change the slave into a master, I have no other alternative to solve the problem right now. |

Hmm I haven't tried that yet, but doesn't that void the warranty? I mean you are essentially overclocking the card's clock speeds and doing some weird things with the bios.
If that really is what it takes to do that, then I guess I have no choice; however, if there is another way, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me. |

Flasing is not a big deal, but it doesn't really help. Afterwards you can install the 9.4 from this guide, but no other driver. Modded drivers with the MM don't work and the Windows 7 drivers also don't get Crossfire to work.
