Warcraft 3, iTunes Graphics Problems! Please Help!

Hello everyone,

My laptop was running Warcraft 3 and iTunes fine until recently, when I ran into some problems which I believe are graphics-related. To help, I'll post screenshots.

The first problem I noticed was that my iTunes coverflow no longer appeared--instead, it was replaced with a black screen. See screenshot:

Also, whenever I try to run Warcraft 3, I end up with this error message: "warcraft 3 was unable to initialized directx. Please ensure you have DirectX 8.1 or newer installed and that your display drivers are current. DirectX may be found on your warcraft 3 install CD under install."

I reinstalled DirectX but that didn't work. I opened the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and did the 'Test Direct3D' test but the black and white rectangles did not alternate. Screenshot:

My graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 and I have Windows XP Professional. My laptop is a Dell Laptop, T2400 @ 1.8 GHz, 2 GB RAM, and with DirectX9.0c. I am a complete novice when it comes to this stuff and a Google-search told me the guys on these forums are experts. I would appreciate any help. Also, whenever I try to run cli.exe, my computer always freezes completely.

Oh yes, 1 last thing--when I create a shortcut for my Warcraft 3 Game and instead edit it so it runs as "c:\program files\warcraft III" -opengl, the game runs fine.

Are you using Mobility Modder?

EDIT: I ran the Mobility Modder and followed all the instructions on the download page. However, the problem still persists!

Hey positron I was just asking as this section is for DH tools. It sounds like you definitely have a driver issue and to bad Mobility Modder wasn't able to help you.

I am not a real expert on mobile drivers hopefully someone can help. I will leave this in this section for now best of luck with a solution
