Acer Apsire 5515 - ATI X1200 Series - Mod Fail?

Ok, at my witts end, im sure the solution is near. This looks like an amazing tool to fix what appears to be (after countless hours googgling a solution) a common problem.

brief overview:
Got the laptop loaded with vista, vista wouldnt run my djprograms such as traktor, virtualdj or pcdj dex very well. So i started my xp downgrade mission, took awhile but figured out i just had to turn the toggle off in bios to get xp to install, no slipstream required. XP loaded, drivers installed.. all except one.... went to install video and got the famous message: no compatible device is found.

I went to get this file MSXML 6.0 and am only able to install the third file. So i went with that. I download the modder, and I will admit the first time i clicked both folders in support and clicked modify. Continued with setup, got the success message. Reboot, shortly after windows XP screen a blue screen flashes and navigates me back to the boot to safemode, or last known config that worked etc etc. I boot to safe, reboot and go to last known config. I unpack video drivers again, this time only modding the exact folder mentioned. This time I get a "zero display service error" message and again the success message. I reboot, and to no avail same problem.

PC is (will give you what i can)

3GB
1.6 AMD athalon processor 2650e
ATI xpress 1200 series

XP Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

edit:Might be note worthy, im trying to mod the XP driver and not the vista?
