Re: Mobility Radeon 4000 series
Thanks! I'm actually able to install the new drivers now. The only issue I am still having is that i get a "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" message now on my second graphics card in the device manager.
I have two ATI Mobility Radeon 4870s in crossfire (2x 4870Ms) or at least they are supposed to be. Anyone know how I can fix this? I am one step closer to driver support, I can feel it lol. |

Re: Mobility Radeon 4000 series
I managed to install CCC 9.7 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with the new mobility modder. The driver would not install through the setup successfully cause I got a Windows Error BSOD looking screen so I had to install the driver manually from the device manager after doing some workarounds with the driver signing issue that Windows 7 kept bringing up when I tried to install the driver manually. Driver and CCC 9.7 now working great. No problems at all. A big thanks to mobility modder and its maker(s). Excellent work!

Re: Mobility Radeon 4000 series
Hmm I can install it in both versions of windows, I can't get both cards to work properly! One is always giving me a code 43 error! What the hell?
Anyone know how to get the second card to work yet? |

Re: Mobility Radeon 4000 series
Hi,
I am bumping into this hideous problem every time with my 4330 HD mobility card when I try to install the drivers. I've bought a subnotebook : the 14" Acer Aspire 4810TG. Excellent machine, but Vista is a no go for me, so I installed XP pro sp3. Now, when I take a look at the device manager, I am seeing two video cards, but one deifned as video adapter (with the appropriate logo beside it) and the other as unknown (with the famous yellow question mark). These -as far as I can make out- are generic drivers of XP. When I follow the instructions mentioned above, I can get this machine to start installing the "correct" driver, but then after I click "continue anyway", it goes on intstalling and the second it finishes the installation, BOSD appears. This is gonna drive me nuts. :/ I suspect that somehow I managed to corrupt registry somewhere or something else happened, since everybody seem to be able to install this darned thing. Anybody got any suggestion instead of formatting the pc and trying again?

The Catalyst Uninstaller download from Guru3D.com download from Guru3D.com Run those three utilities in order, in ccleaner go to the Tools>uninstall tab and remove all ati softwares. then go to cleaner and select everything except for wipe free space and clean, then go to registry cleaner tab and make sure everything is selected and clean. The run catalyst removal tool. The run DriverSweeper with ATi selected, then clean. Then reboot. Then run ccleaner, cleaner tab and registry tab. Download this: https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206...cc_wdm_enu.exe Run Mobility Modder and mod it and make sure you choose the folder to which the drivers extracted to. Usually on C:\ and then the folder. The go to the device managager and uninstall both of the video adapters. then select the topmost entry in the device manager with just one click and select the detect hardware changes button. select that and wait for windows to detect your ati card again. then once it has detected it and come up with some generic driver under the video adapters. Select that particular video adapter with a right click and click update. Then "no not at this time", "install from list or specific location", "don't search...", "have disk", and copy this path to that path line (assuming that you have installed windows xp on C:\ drive "C:\9-7_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\XP_INF\CX_84680.inf" (without quotes) and select enter then select that driver and install it it should say some driver signing stuff just hit continue and finish installing it once that is done then launch the setup from "C:\9-7_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu" folder 9 imnot sure exaclty what folder the setup.exe might be inside of the "9-7_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu" folder you will just have to find it, and MAKE SURE you DESELECT the driver install and install the catalyst software and whatever other software stuff there is. but MAKE SURE you DON'T install the drivers. only CCC. if it installs correctly then everything should work fine from there try it and tell me what happens.

Re: Mobility Radeon 4000 series
thanks for a quick response, but as I try to download the catalyst 9.7, it redirects to the "anti-leech" page.
google seems to find only this address too. But anyway, I found the file from the game.ati.com website... I'll try it right now.
