Hi, hope you guys can help.
I have been getting really laggy graphics etc on the new sims 3 so somebody suggested that I update the drivers on my laptop.

Checked the AMD/ATI website but no joys as I heard they dont support the mobility cards anymore. I decided to download the Modding tool and the latest Cata driver 9.5 followed the instructions but it wont take.
I then decided to uninstall the driver and try it fresh, prob I have now is I cant get the driver to install at all, it just update the registration and install manager asks me to reboot and that it, it doesnt install the driver.

Just to let you know I have managed to install my old drivers, but I cat get 9.2 / 9.3 or the new 9.5 to take.

Do I need to add a line into the CL & CW info file if so what do I put and what is the process after that?

The mobility modder doesn't support your card yet. It will eventually, but not right now. It is to be expected of such a new card. Until then you may be able to look up or ask someone how to mod the drivers on your own. Good luck.
