Hey guys,

I just bought an Asus F6V with the ATI Mobility Radeon 3470HD card and decided I didn't want to use vista.

I downloaded the ATI drivers for the 3400 series and patched them with the modder(which claims it supports the mobility 3470HD). However, it installed the drivers for the 3450 HD instead.

This is not simply a typo, I know that the 3470 is an overclocked 3450 on a 55nm process, so it is not surprising that it would detect it as a 3450. The problem is that it carries over the 3450 clocks too, which are considerably lower than those of the 3470.

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and/or figured out a way to get it to recognize the card properly.

Hi,

the program does not take the clocks of the 3450, it is only the name and the cards use the same settings. So i am sure that your card still uses the 3470 speeds.

Hey Spike,

Unfortunately, unless CCC is wrong, the card is using the speeds of the 3450:

Notebookcheck: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450

The core and mem speeds of the 3470 are higher:

Notebookcheck: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470

Then again, if CCC isn't actually polling the card but just pulling those values because of the name, then you could be right.
