[solved] CX_70226.inf has already been modified

Hi all,

There seems to be a problem when I try to update the drivers using Mobility Modder.NET.

In my first try the driver version didn't changed after using it and rebooting. It just was that I forgot to uninstall my old drivers first. No warning nor error was displayed in that process though.

But now, having the old drivers uninstalled, each time I try to update them through the mod tool I get this error a few seconds after pressing the "Modify" button:
"CX_70226.inf has already been modified"

I accept and then the "loading" bar keeps growing until the updating process seems to be done. I reboot and... nothing. No drivers were installed.

I've gone to the process 3 times now. Every time the "CX_70226.inf has already been modified" appears, I accept, the bar reachs 100%, I reboot, and nothing seems to have changed.

EDIT: The driver version I'm trying to install is: 8-11_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_70226

Here's my actual dxdiag (up to the display stuff data, my system is spanish, as you can see):

Re: CX_70226.inf has already been modified

It seems I've managed to solve it.

I decided to try point 6 of the quick guide:
Quote:
6: In Vista, go to C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985 (Or whatever the driver installation folder was called), and run the SETUP.EXE. Please note you might see a "Driver is not WHQL certified", ignore this, as it is a side effect of the modification.
I'm on XP, though, not Vista, but it seems to have worked for me.

Anyway, the new driver isn't working as expected. Not only I haven't noticed any improvement in framerates but they have lowered in most games. Which is sad and weird.

But it's installed, as you can see here:
