Running this on a ASUS F3JP, reappropriated to run XP rather than Vista.

jesus christ why is it so hard to install some stupid graphic drivers for XP..

i have a V1JP Asus laptop with a X1700. ati drivers download doesnt work.
Asus OEM crap doesnt work. driverheaven Catalyst (both mobile and normal) in combination with .Net Mobility Modding DOEST WORK!

HELP i'm going crazy. think im gonna call Asus support and try my very best not to yell them to deaf...

oh, and i'm also busy trying to get XP working instead of vista. why? because vista sux...

also got problem with this. Asus drivers updated 29th january 2007......
And the mobility modder dont work?

Got it working earlier but decided to update the drivers as my screen started behaving wierd. And now i only get "Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. setup will now exit"

That is now fixed in 1.1.1.0 so better download that.

hi everybody, ( first time on a forum)

I am an ATI X 1700, on a ASUS Z53J vista 32... like all of you it seams..
I already had ATI C 8.12 installed on the computer
and tried to install the Modder like explained ( lauch, cancel , install modder, exe, modify, reboot)
but it seams that it did not work... I dont really know what should have changed anyway...

So:
should I have continue after cancelling the installation of the 8.12 thing to install the modder or quit ?

I mean I am missing a step about the modder and cancellation of the installion of ATI 8.12

I know I am a big ball chaine over here, but I really try my best! just a little help for a step by step installation ATI 8.12 thingy and modder exe.

thanks anyway for everybody who was helpful with that on the different forum...seems i should not make a career as an IT

also Is it possible to come back at a point before I installed ATI 8.12 so I could retry the move?

PS what should work if the new driver is well installed? what can I try? thanks

I have the same problem, asus f3jp laptop and have used mobility modder.net before, worked fine, tried using new 8.12 catalyst drivers, effed up. It said that after installing everything to system32 it could not find driver compatible with system,,, then when i reboot, it uses oldass vga drivers adn says radeon is disabled because it has NO drivers

It fucks up and when i went to hardware, software manager or whatever, i installed the driver from there, adn it seemed to work, but every time i reboot it goes back to windows drivers, and i have widescreen so 1024x728 looks baddd... Please guys any help would be appreciated, i just want to even roll back so my screen is normal again... Thanks in advance.

damienFreude: you have to run the setup.exe again after the mod to actually install the drivers into your Windows installation.
