ATI Mobility Radeon x600
I've encountered this problem awhile ago, but just recently I started using my computer for video games so it's becoming a nuisance again...
I'm trying to run World of Warcraft, except every minute or so my framerate drops to about 1 to 5 fps and everything becomes real choppy. And this consistently happens. Frequently enough to render it impossible to play. Two years ago I was having these same problems, and I sent my computer back to Sony, they said they replaced the motherboard, and when I got it back I didn't experience any problems until a few months later when it came back. I tried running the Mobility Modder from here, but it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. I followed all the directions as they were written, but is there any other way I can verify that it did update my driver? And still, is there anything else I can do to try and fix this? My system specs are: SONY VAIO laptop (VGN-A690) Microsoft XP Home Edition 1.86 GHz Intel Pentium M processor 1.00 GB RAM 88.1 GB of hard drive space ATI Mobility Radeon X600 (right now it says the driver is from 4/5/2005) Any help is appreciated. Thanks. --Alan |

Welcome to DH!
You can always check the device manager to see what driver version you have, or try the DH Full PC Info Tool. You may also want to check out the Omega Drivers.
