exclamation Problem with Ati Mobility Radeon hd2400

Hello everyone. Sorry for my English. I have an Asus F7sr, T7500 CPU, 4GB of ram with 1Gb "magically" shared with the video card, which is a ATI Mobility Radeon 2400 from 256 Mb. I have seen a downgrade from XP. I can not in any way to install the video card. Following the installation step by step guide to end, when launching the setup folder ati, installation hangs halfway and I see the words "Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software". What's the problem? Please help me. I do not want to return to Vista OS!!

I know this thread is a bit old but I am having the same problem with a brand new F7Sr notebook. If Erot is like me, it has nothing to do with the drivers. I've succesfully modded the drivers without any problems.

The problem is with the PCIE port... if you look in the device manager and scroll down to system you can see a ! conflict with the

Mobile Intel(R) PM965/GM965/GL960 Express PCI Express Root Port - 2A01

"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

This happens with a factory fresh version of XP Pro SP2 or a slipstreamed version wtih SP3. This conflict exists from the moment the install is complete and nothing I have tried will make it go away. I've tried installing 4 or 5 times now.

If anyone has any ideas on how to free up the PCIE port I would love to hear them as I've been at this for a couple of days now.

I am not 100% sure if that is the intel chipset for the pcie port or an onboard videocard. What you can try is look if there is an bios update maybe. Or try emailing or phoning Asus and see what they say.
