mobility modder undhandled exception

When I run mobilitymodder to fix my x2300 ati in my asusZ53J in winxp, I get an exception.
It says sth like: Unhandled exception
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.---> System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
at t7Q....

Could anybody help me?
Thanks in advance

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

I've closed the other threads since they were about the same issue.

You have fully updated windows and .NET Framework?

Thks a lot temeteus82. Well, I think you might be right because I still do not have service pack 2 of windows xp but I can not install it because when I try, it tells me
Windows XP Service Pack 2 cannot install. The product key used to install Microsoft Windows may not be valid. For more information about why you have received this error message, and steps you can take to resolve this issue visit hotwtotell.com

Besides, if I try to use the Windows Update program I get this message: "To get updates, you must first validate your Windows software. Validation assures that you are using an authentic and fully licensed copy of Windows."
I am wondering whether I have to install a new version of windows xp. I do not feel like installing win xp again but if there is no other solution to fix the mobility modder exception, then I guess I will have to do it. If you have any idea about it, please, tell me.
Thanks

Those alerts will appear if you have illegal copy of windows or your CD-Key is leaked to the internet and been abused. Anyway you would need .NET framework 2.0 fully installed and you can't get that without validating windows. Now if you got legal copy of windows it's highly recommended that you keep it updated since the net is full of malware that will kill your system.
