Lightsmark 2007 gives error :
ERROR: OpenGL 2.0 capable graphics card is required.
Other OpenGL apps works, but are wery slow, like there is no hardware acceleration
OpenGL does not work,
DirectX works
Everything else is working without a hitch

Wow, seems like there are alot of people here having problems with the HD2600!
Does any other owner of a HD2600 have this:
I also got a very odd problem on my ASUS F3SA-A1 HD2600 512Mb, and wondering if any of the gurus could shine some light on this.
I cant display a native resolution of 1680X1050 on a 22 inch screen.
Tried 4 different monitors, tried catalyst 7.4 all the way to 7.11! Tried PowerStrip. Tried Ati tools. NOTHING WORKS I asked people from notebookreviews, and called the vendors, and nothing. And finally i got a reply from Asus tech support saying it that theres a driver being developed for this:
version is V8.44-071116a1-056577C_logo_Vista32_64.
Does this make any sence to any of you gurus?
Detailed description of this proble is at this thread:
ASUS F3SA-a1 DIV output no higher than 1440X 900! - Page 7 - Notebook Forums and Laptop Discussion
Any tips would be great!
thanx
BTW i have a case number at asus: 192-923
If you have the same issue, call them and include your name with the above number. Maybe that will speed things up with the fix

blue screen 1150
recently upgraded to vista 32. inspiron 1501, amd turion x64, radeon 1150, 2G ram. have tried every avail latest versions 7.10-7.12 of catalyst/drivers from ati/dell. have even tried the mobmoddy per your instructions. Nothing has helped. Upon install/reboot, get blue screen with jumbled/flickering white squares after logging into vista and then shuts down to restart in safe mode. Then I have to system restore to an earlier point. Only thing that works is to allow vista to install shadow copy of generic driver which recognizes the radeon 1150 as radeon 200m. Please help!!!! Any thoughts/recommendations on just doing a clean install with vista 64?

I know that this is a really newbie question, but I am having trouble finding the download for the Mobility Modder. I checked the link at the top of the screen, however the page it leads me to does not have a download link. The image halfway down the screen is just that, an image.
I do use Firefox because Internet Explorer is bugged and won't run. I do use a scriptblocker but I have allowed Driver Heaven through. On the download page it does not notify me of any other websites trying to execute scripts.
I have completely cleared my cache, cookies, and browsing history and have had no change.
If it helps any to note... when I tried to log into Driver Heaven to post on these forums the icicles got in the way and I was unable to input my username. I had to block all images from Driver Heaven in order to log in. I went back to the download page and now there isn't any hint of a download link anywhere.

Hi all,
I have an Acer 7720G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600.
The last week i installed XP Sp2 and the 7.11 Catalyst with the help of the great Mobility Modder.
Today i see the 7.12 Cata, i tried to install them in the same manner as the 7.11 but nothing ç_ç...
I receive the error: "Setup did not find a driver compatible whit this hardware or software configuration" or something like that (the same error that i "bypassed" with the MobyModder with 7.11).
EDIT: Trying to reinstall the 7.11 and now i receive the same error O_o
Can someone help me?
Thanx in advance

Got the same problem as a little higher has posted. I've gor Acer Aspire 4920G with X2500 card, but after such "patching" new driver recognizes it like X1700... The interresting thing is that DirectX 10 works correctly and all my perfomance has not changed... That is only a "grammar" mistake, or there's something more than just incorrect label of video-card?

Hi - i hope someone can help!!
I have an IBM X31 running Vista, but i can't find out exactly which card i have - the chipset is reported as ATI MOBILTY RADEON - i think it's a ATI Mobility RADEON M6C-16h - does anyone know if the card is know as anything else/model number etc?
I have tried running the modded driver install, but the ATI Installmanager app crashes with DetectionManager.dll as the faulting module.
I'm currently using the Microsoft Standard VGA Graphics Adapter - which is pants!
Any help would be appreciated - even if it's confirmation that i won't get a non-generic diver to work!
Thanks!
**Edit**
I think the card is either a ATI Mobility Radeon 7000 or 7500 - i note that on the supported video card list for XP, the 7500 is supported, and so is the ATI Mobility RADEON - any chance of VISTA support for these cards?
By the way, my device ID's are:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4C59&SUBSYS_052F1014&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4C59&SUBSYS_052F1014
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4C59&CC_030000
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_4C59&CC_0300
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

Hello,...
I searched for a site with all resolutions supportet by your software. This is because i habe a ASUS Laptop with a ATI HD2600 Card with 512 MB. I wanted to connect ist to my LCD-TV with 1366x768 resolution, but the driver shipped with the book only supports 1280x768. I have little black spaced at the sides.
I looked on your side but didn't find something that could give me the information if i use your tool, that i will surely have this resolution.
So i'm asking here. When using your software with the latest catalyst driver, is it possible to switch to 1366x768 resolution?
Thanks in advance... and please excuse my bad english, i am from germany...
Sincerly ... Thalys

Mobility FireGL 5600
Any chance on getting support for the Mobility FireGL 5600? From the PCI DeviceID it appears to be a HD 2600 with different subsystem tag:
HP/Compaq 8510w
ATI Mobility FireGL V5600
Here are the 2 lines out of the driver inf from HP that works (and that match my PCI info):
"ATI Mobility FireGL V5600" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9581&SUBSYS_30DF103C
"ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600" = ati2mtag_M76, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9581&SUBSYS_30C5103C
Thanks,

whenever I close and then open the lid of my laptop, all the icons get rearranged and open windows get resized. it's as if the screen resolution is being decreased and then increased again.
I have a HP 8510p notebook. it has a ATI HD 2600 graphics card inside. I installed the latest catalyst driver with the modtool.
anyone else had that problem with cat 7.12?

Vista 64 and external display problem
The Mobility Modder worked fine with my Acer 7720G and Vista 32Bit.
Now i've changed to Vista 64 bit and got problems.
After modding and installing 7.12 Driver and Catalyt, my external EIZO L885 (20,7") display only works with 1280x1024 instead of 1600x1200px. It's found as a Plug&Play display.
I've uninstalled 7.12 and tried out original acer driver. But with the result, that it says, that the ATI driver doesn't work or is not installed right.
Without any driver I can set the resolution to 1600x1200px but the picture is quiet bad and it flickers. (Not in 1280x1024)
So I've changed back to the modded 7.12, but the resolution problem is still here.
My Graphic Card is the HD2600. Maybe it can't work at 1600+1200 or with an EIZO L885 ?
Anyone who can help me please? Thanks.

MM & Cat 8.1
Well, I just installed Catalyst 8.1 after a "passage through" the Mobility Modder: the result is simply perfect! Only the screen refresh rate decides by himself to be 59 Hz instead of 60 Hz any time I start the computer, but I don't think it is a Mobility Modder related problem: it appeared since Cat 7.11, not before (I use the MM since Cat 7.4).
Your program is perfect, thank you for your work!

Hello all,
I have been experiencing the following problems with Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP; and Mobility Modder 4 (V 0.8.8.0) and the game Half Life Episode 2:
I can run HL2 and HL2 Episode 1; but when I try to run Episode 2 with Cathalyst 6.2 modded with the Modder it says the driver is out of date and when I choose continue anyway it says it needs Direct X 8, even if the card supports 9......; I have tried with modded Cathalyst 7.12; 7.11; 7.10; 7.9 and the game starts says "loading" and then it throws me away to the desktop....
Apart from that Direct X 9 tests all pass; everything else runs smoothly but with these game I have a problem..
All help will be strongly appreciated
Thanks in advance
p.s. the laptop is HP-Compaq nx9110; Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz; 1.12 GB RAM+128 MB shared for the video

atiolglg
I modded the latest 8.1 catalyst driver for xp to use with my X2300
When I point the Device Manager to the modded files it begins to copy them over then asks for a file that it can't find...
"The file 'atiolglg.xml' on ATI Technologies Inc. Installation DISK (VIDEO) is needed."
Any help would be appreciated!
