mod works fine on Win XP pro using actual firegl_xp32_53876 on HP nw8440 (firegl v5200) but the system is really slow loading opengl appz. Reverted to original bad and old hp drivers...

LG S1-P222P with ATI mobility x1600 and Vista Ultimate 32bits. After catalyst 7.10 modded install i have the same problem. The screen brightness and color intensity went down, and its just to bad to work or play that way. It's possible to correct this problem? Thanks!

Hello,
I download last driver from C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-10_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_53250\Driver for xp.
I dowload modder tool last version.
I did everything in the guide.

But When i try to start C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-10_xp32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_53250\Driver\Setup.exe computer says ;

Ok folks, i just tried this thing in hopes of fixing a problem I am having with my new copy of Vista.

This is the issue. I have an Alienware Laptop m5500 with a built in ATI Radeoned Mobility 9600/9700.

Since i have installed vista on this machine it has not liked any radeon driver i have installed. I have tried various XP and Vista drivers in hopes to stop the Error 43 from shutting the driver down. The only thing i can get to work is the Standard VGA driver that comes stock with windows. But that of course drops my performance index to 1 and donest allow any games to be played..

Anyone know any way to get this video card to work in vista/

This version of the Moby Modder worked flawlessly on my Packard Bell Easynote R8770, Mobility 9700, and the latest Catalyst 7.10 do their job finely too, especially on OpenGL applications. My best compliments! (But the CCC still doesn't allow me to change the AntiAliasing setting... W the Ati Tray Tools!!!)

Acer 7720 G302 ATI HD 2600, Core2 T7300. After 7.10 modded and installed the screen brightness and color Intensity went down on external Desktop (D-Sub) for some reason and I could not find a way to get it back to normal. Now I am back to Acer drivers. I've tryed 7.9 version with the same result. But anyway: Thanks for the great program!

Hey guys, I had the same brightness issue when I upgraded as well. The reason is because the ATI drivers now have two color modes. One muted and low contrast, for standard computer use, and one vibrant with whiter whites, for "media center use". I find the vibrant settings more attractive and true to life even without media center use, so I found a way to change it back (it's easy).

Open the Catalyst Control Center, go to the Color area, scroll to the bottom of the panel, and change it from "PC Standard white and black levels" to "Microsoft MCE black and white levels". That'll change it to the vibrancy you are used to. Not sure why the newer drivers change this back to PC Standard, but I think you'll find this will fix it right up for you.

Thank you thank you thank you! After spending 12 hours trying to UPGRADE from vista to XP SP2, a screaming fight with Dell and their supervisor, I was finally able to not pull out my hair anymore and get my laptop working again on XP. Bless the mod gods and their great work!

Hi spike!!

Any news about my mobility radeon 9000/9100 igp?? I remember you that after installing the catalyst in dxdiag directdraw and direct3d are not enabled and i cannot run games. i have tried the new mobility modder this weekend and happens the same. I hope i have installed everything correctly. in the catalyst control center the 3d option where you can edit 3d options is no there.

Please some help. Thanks in advance for all.

The following ATI Mobility FireGL cards are supported:

ATI MOBILITY FireGL V7200

Is there any reason why this would not work for an ATI Mobility FireGL V5600? Is it not listed simply because it has not been tested, or because there has been no development for that hardware? Thanks.

rodar does it say xpress 1100 series? because then it is correct.

For the rest i am still working on the program and still searching for some problems and trying to fix it.

i have a problem... i followed all directions for modder and it worked ... unfortunately something else i had updated that day had messed up my audio driver and i had to restore my computer to an earlier date. NOW i cant use the modder tool... ive tried downloading it again and restarting... what do i do it gives me an error message saying....

DH Mobility Modder.NET has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry....

then it says in the next error message

Exception ECExceptiond in module MobilityDotNet.exe at 000213BD
Failure has occurred while loading a type.

please help!!! it worked before but now it wont

Congratulations for this very nice project!

I'm reporting my experience, as I was not successful installed modified drivers, hoping DHMM to get better.
I'm running Windows XP on a Compaq nx7000 with a Mobility Radeon 9200.
After modifying ATI Catalyst 7.11, I installed it, but somethings went wrong:
- My grahic card was detected as ATI Radeon 9000. (instead of 9200)
- It didn't detect my laptop panel dsplay.
- On the Monitor resolution was ok (1440x900) but not the colors (seemed like I was running 8bits instead of the 32bits color depth.

If you need any more data or help just say.

Everything works fine for me on my Alienware m5550 it's got a x1400 card with 128mb
the only issue i am facing is that I can't select the adaptive Anti-Aliasing

I used the MobyModder, as I call it, ver 8.8.0 on my PackardBell R8770 and successfully modified and installed Cat 7.11 without any trouble at all. Even the problems I experienced with the CCC since Cat 7.5 disappeared (I couldn't enable the AntiAliasing because it didn't appear in the CCC 3D settings for example). Now all works flawlessly (that means I can play TES IV: Oblivion never under 22 FpS under Win Vista).

Like a couple of other posters, I have a Fujitsu-Siemens AMILO Xi 1546 w/ ATI Radeon Mobility X1800. I have succesfully tried installing DH Mobility Modder with different newer versions of ATI Catalyst. While installation went fine, after rebooting, and trying to play the game Hellgate: London in DirectX 9 mode, there is no mouse cursor in the game, and it is very laggy. There is only a black box, where the cursor should have been, and when I click options, a lot of elements are also replaced by black boxes. I tried installing the latest Omega Drivers, which I think were based on Catalyst 7.1(?), and the problem was solved. But naturally I would like to be able to install a newer version of the Catalyst driver

So I'm hoping that you can solve my problem. My laptop is running Windows XP SP2.

Hi Spike, i followed all the instructions and installed the modder but now i cannot start CCC. When i start the ccc, nothing happens. I am using ATI Mobility Radeon x2500. Plz help...
