Hi Spike, I'm experiencing a major problem with this ver 0.8.7.0 of the "MobiModder" (as I call it): if I use it I do not get the CCC and the drivers in the list of installable components. I just get the Catalyst Installation Manager and the C++ program - with any version of the official Catalyst I tried, from 7.4 to 7.8. I had to switch back to version 0.8.1.0 and it worked fine, but I can't understand the problem. I noticed tough that when the installer seeks for the hardware on my laptop, the bar indicating the general status only reaches 50% and then the components list is shown. It's always the same laptop, Mobility 9700, Win Vista.
Thank you for your care and hope your well ![]() P.S.: Does anyon have notice of the next release of the Omega drivers? The official site hasn't been updated since june the 11... I mean, is the developer ill? Or is he on holiday?

I need real drivers, not just some driver that is not original, becuase they could have guessed details or changed settings.

The only driver you could use is an older xp driver. Those old cards can't use DX9 and to use the WDDM vista drivers the cards need to support at least DX9.

Works perfectly. Card shows up as X1700 though, seems as if Oblivion even got few extra fps. Can't say for sure though haven't done any thorough testing.

Just before I do this would I get the standard radeon drivers or the mobility drivers from ATI site. The only drivers that mention any type of HD 2600 is the standard drivers. I Have a laptop

Hello, Spike!
Could you please add Radeon Xpress 1250 into support list? Yes, I know that 1200 series is already there but ModTool doesn't work in my case. Under Vista setup runs well till the end but actually display driver itself doesn't install and I have to install it manually. Then all videotools including CCC work well. But under XP dd setup refuses to start at all because of unsupported hardware and even if I install drivers and CCC manually CCC will not start after reloading. I have a pretty ancient version of 1250's driver from my notebook's vendor and if you need some files from it I can send them to you. Thanx! |

Here is the info from the driver's .inf file:
Code:
"ATI Radeon Xpress 1250" = ati2mtag_RS600M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7942&SUBSYS_C511144D "ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 " = ati2mtag_RS600M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7942&SUBSYS_C036144D "ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 " = ati2mtag_RS600M, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_7942&SUBSYS_B044144D |

Hi,
I have a Panasonic CF-73 with a radeon mobility 9000. When i try to install the driver from panasonic's website it says the hardware doesn't match although it's designed for that model. I used the modtool like i should with ati's drivers but still it gives the same error. I'm clueless at this point. Grtz |

Metachaos your card will be added in the new version.
Pendejo, i am not sure why it happens. I read that more with ATI drivers, but it is possible that that happens because there are old driver remainings, or that something during the uninstall did not go right. What you can try is restore the system to before you removed the driver and then try it again.

Can you add support for the radeon mobile 2600 xt in Apple's iMac 24" as well? Apple's drivers have problems with hardware video overlay. If you need the original driver supplied by apple you can find it here: Apple - Boot Camp - Public Beta. Thanks a lot!

The 2600 XT will be supported in the next update. The 2400 XT also.

Hi all !
I have exactly the same problem as Pendejo, the error about hardware mismatch even if I used the mobility modder... I have a Toshiba Satellite M40 140 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X300, running on Windows XP. I was so hopeful when I discovered this way of patching common drivers for laptops ! I can't understand why this hardware error occurs yet... I made severtal times the "restore system" to go back to my original driver and each time I try again to update it, I fail... I followed exactly the step by step guide I even removed a service of XP about user accounts, whereas "UAC issue" is only a matter on Vista ![]() I tried catalyst 7.8 first, then 7.7, because on driverheaven ATI drivers page, the 7.7 is the latest one. After that I even tried the 7.4... I tried to uninstall my graphic card too, before launching the catalyst setup, but nothing seems to work fine... Thanks for your help and thanks for this tool which works usually fine, it is really a wonderful idea.cu Jerpes |

excellent!
Hi guys, thanks for this wonderful pack. I just purchased a Fujitsu Lifebook N6460 17", ATI HD2600, with the intention of replacing my twin monitor (nvidia) desktop, and have mobility. I develop database apps, 3d modeling and animation, and 3d games, so I needed something heavy.
I was sad to discover that openGL was in software mode with this beautiful machine, and searching the web I found a post about DH. Today I Installed the mod and it worked perfectly. Now it is upgraded to the last ATI Catalyst, and everthing works as expected. Thanks! Julio |

I have problems with modded drivers for my Mobility Radeon X1600 ( on BenQ P52 ) - when i install it, it works ok, runs perfectly all games - but only in window mode. When i try to run anything in fullscreen mode, screen stops and pc is no longer responding to anything - reboot is the only exit. Im using Vista 32-bit with newest DX. Any idea how to deal with this problem to run games in fullscreen ?

New (future) user, I wonder...
First of all, I have to say hello to everyone member of this site!!
Well, I have discovered this site few days ago and I'm thinking about installing the Mobility Modder, but I'm not sure of doing that... I need to confirm some points. If I install the modder but the result is no good, can I remove it completely from my notebook?? The use of this modder, which uses a driver not developed for my graphic card, could damage it?? With this tool, my notebook will work above of its possibilities? I have windows xp home edition sp2 with: Ati mobility radeon 9000/9100 igp P4 3.2 ghz 1216 Mb RAM For 2 years the manufacturer of my notebook (HP pavilion zv5376EA) had no released a driver update and i think that the performance of my graphic card could be improved. The mobility modder is for now the answer to my wishes... Thanks in advance friends!!
